Saw this on the shelf at my local Lowe's and I had to buy it. I'm surprised anyone still makes die cast versions if these cars. It seriously seems like they're becoming popular again. Old trends die hard.

All of the die cast cars are the same price so more than likely they all have the same barcode and number.
Your right, its all the same code. But my local has a bunch. Either way, nice find. I have always been looking for a Eagle talon 2gb model, Christmas ordainment, or something unique. I think there is a rare ecmtuning neon clock at some point.

Look at your local gas stations. I see them all the time here in Texas at Valero, Circle K, and some CVS and Walgreens. Theyre usually with the other metal die cast cars on a display

They are on Ebay. eclipse bride die cast | eBay. You can see how much more you'd have to pay LOL. They are made by Jada Toys

That`s okay @BLACK'98DSM .. I`m about to turn 70 years old and still working on a model I bought years ago.. I have about $300. invested so far. I started with a 1/10th scale T-bucket. It has working head and tail lights . The tires are real rubber from those R/C cars . The rims started out as aluminum yo-yo`s that I cut in half. I was making this model for a friend but he passed away before I got it finished. It replicates his bucket ...

That's awesome. Building model cars was a hobby of mine when I was a kid. Id build lowriders and friends would build them with hydraulics LOL I built a few hot rods and a jet also. Those were the years. Now Im trying to find time to build one with my son. Its been a slow process but eventually itll get done

Recently found a die-cast 2G in the same scale but was a licensed fast and furious reproduction of Brian’s eclipse. It was like $4 so I got it. Kinda cool to see they’re still around.

With the renaissance of 3D printing going on I keep waiting for someone to do a 1G 3D printed kit. I’d actually get one and learn how to use it just to do that. You could do everything from the engine, trans, etc.

Here's my other model. Not sure if these can still be bought, my friend gave it to me for free because he had it for a long time and knew I liked Eclipses. It's cooler because it's 1/16 and it actually has an engine in it.

See what I mean . A guy finds a 1G for four dollars and I gotta pay $180 ... I think I can do without till something comes along..Maybe I`ll see some kid playing with one in his drive way.. I`ll run up ..kick his ass and steal it....Headlines next day.. Car Jacking... a 70 year old man was charged today with auto theft .. the assailant accosted his victim then ran off ...He waived his rights to a trial and was sent to the local Mental Facility .... Kidding I wont get caught I can still run pretty fast

Oh my OMG Let's not hurt any children now, Larry ROFL

On a serious note though. I'll keep an aye out for you. Things come and go on Ebay and Amazon so I'm sure one day something reasonable will pop up. Who knows, I might even snag my 4th 2g Eclipse to add to the collection.

While we're on the topic of Eclipse collectibles, I'll add this picture. I customized an old hotwheel to look like my Eclipse. Some detailed painting is all it took. And I used actual automotive paint so it should last as long as I do. You'll have to excuse the dirty DSM. It had been sitting a few weeks while I rebuilt the trans.

Obligatory pics of the same 2G we’ve seen a million times(Brian’s eclipse). Still, not bad for $4.

If I find another one I’m tempted to get it and repaint it in B73/Kona Blue and get some custom bumpers 3D printed to match an OEM eclipse.

I found a Jada Eclipse coupe for 85 bucks and bought it thinking I could convert it to a Spyder. Would be a shame to destroy this diecast so I will wait until I can find a real Spyder and of coarse I have a mini Brian...... The big picture was custom made for me that represents what my car will look like when I am done.. Just need paint and side skirt vent ...
