I was a frequent poster on the old Digest in the 90s. I wonder if there are any other veterans in here from those days? I was Paul with the 95GST, and I was among those who started giving visibility to the crankwalk issues. I also wrote a VFAQ on installing a 16g on a 2G, and Baer upgraded brakes on the 2G as well. Both are still hosted on VFAQ.com! I’m sure nobody cares after 20+ years . But I do wonder what became of Tom Stangl and Todd Day?

I left the DSM platform for a mkiv Supra in 1999. So, I basically traded FWD traction problems for RWD traction problem. It took a long time, but I finally embraced AWD:

There's a couple such folks around. And we all appreciate the pioneers that had to struggle through a lot of the problems many of us have experienced over the years!

Just kidding. I'm from those days but sadly never graduated up.

I started reading the Digest before I bought my car. It's one of the ways I knew not to get a 90...

It's almost painful for me to read my own posts from digest days.

I found some archived posts I wrote about crankwalk on road race engineering’s site, and it was cringeworthy. But also revealing. There was a time when getting the all important 16G upgrade was all I could think about

Ahh the talon digest, where I came for the info but stayed for the war stories. I met Todd in 2000 at the shootout, not really sure what happened to him, he just kinda disappeared, had he stuck with it he would have been the owner of ecmlink instead of Dave and Tom. This is one my favorite DSM memories was Todd Day and Mario the Porsche Killer chatting in Norwalk.

Oh wow...... This picture is so awesome. Fun fact - the Porsche Killer and I went to school together at the University of Florida. We met at a local car club I started for import car enthusiasts. I can't remember if he introduced me to the Digest or if I introduced him to it, but either way we read it and would chatter away with other local DSM'ers about the posts when we got together for the car club meetings. Mario and I have stayed in touch all these years and I just texted him a picture of this picture !!! I got the Porsche Killer stamp of approval when I bought the 911

Also, I found Todd on LinkedIn... I hope he accepts my request to connect.
