not sure if this is the PROPER place for this but nothing else seem to fit the bill. (mods feel free to move it if its in the incorrect place)

I know STM tuned is a Vendor here, so I'm gonna get some heat for this but ohh well.

The customer service there is TERRIBLE, they do not stand behind anything, or want to deal with anything what so ever.

I ordered an AEM W/M kit (since I have a new build now after what happened) the kit arrived and the box looked like it was dropped out of an airplane, everything in there was loose and clashing around, before I even opened it I just knew this was not good, and of course it wasn't , wouldn't power on etc. no shocker there.. but HEY mistakes happen, could have been in shipping, and from what was later told to be they drop ship so maybe whoever shipped it screwed up, no biggie, I'm in no rush its cool..........

They refuse to do anything about it, tell me to call AEM, what do you think AEM says?? "return it to whoever you bought it from" its not like its been 30 days, its be 1 at this point, so passing of the buck, they send me to AEM and AEM sends me to them, I file a chargeback with my bank since im getting no where, they LIE to the bank and say "it was shipped in perfect condition" wellll if you drop ship how TF do you know?

Dude just be a decent company and take back a damaged product WTF, your ok with a customer getting a package like this? looking like Conor Mcgregor's ankle (too soon? LOL) and won't power on? in a community like this? your perfectly fine with that? seriously?

and I hope this isn't deleted since they are a paying vendor here

Honestly im kind of an easy going customer, even when it arrived all messed up, it was ok, I was even willing to wait. but to tell me to pound sand??? like come on

Well no one knew STM was drop shipping, it was purchased FROM STM, however they get shipped is on them, also the place that "drop shipped" seems to know nothing about it so that seems like BS anyway.. not to mention the drop shipper is NOT in the State it was shipped from

I, myself, have had very good results from STM. Never had an issue and I've bought thousands of parts from them (well, way more than $1k) just FYI. If the shipper didn't insure it then that is on them. Insurance covers loss or damage. I never have anything shipped without it but I work for a shipping company.

I have just never seen a company ship an item and have it arrived this way and say "nope screw you" dude even WALMART doesn't do that LOL

They’ve been having an issue for a while now. It’s been documented here but if they did drop ship it, the damaged pack isn’t on them. With that said, they should provide some customer service and contact aem themselves to resolve the issue since you did order through them. If you do get the run around from aem, I’d contact your cc or debit card. And save the box it came in so you have proof it was damaged. This process does take a while. I’ve been using extremepsi since 2017 when I got my car and they are a welled oils machine. I’ve had two issues with their products and they’ve done right in both instances. They get my money all day, everyday.

I have to agree with Marty on this one, stmtuned has been my go to for years with great success, I recently placed a VERY large order with them about a month ago and received 90% of it in less than 2 weeks, shipping’s always free because I always spend at least $200 LOL. I’ll agree their communication isn’t there, the majority of parts I order when clearly in stock ship the next day, but obviously if it’s on back order they ship it later, I’m still waiting on a manifold and intercooler which is made to order in house and I’m sure like most places there short staffed with orders piled up. I’m gonna email them tomorrow to ask for a friendly ETA, but I know they’ll ship it as soon they can. In your case I can’t imagine them not working with you at all, like maybe offer you a discount or something. I would still blame the carrier not stm. Years ago I received my ECU back from ECMtuning via UPS in a similar manner. I could here the eprom chip rattling around inside the ecu! I was pissed. I opened it up and was able to place the chip back in its socket and luckily it worked fine, but unfortunately I think carriers sometimes carriers don’t take the care they should with peoples items, after all it’s just another box, we all take a risk when having things delivered, but again man I really hope you can work something out with stm, keep us posted!

I just hate the passing of the buck.... They send me to AEM while AEM says "contact your retailer" just terrible way to deal with a customer

I would contact the drop shipper, its up to them to pack and make sure the product gets to you in good shape. Its not your fault. For a very small amount any package can be insured. That is on the shipper, whoever that may be.

Well it does not seem to be who they claim it is.. that much I know

Here in the UK drop shipped or not if the company is selling such an item they are responsible as they took the money not the drop shippers! whom ever took your funds is the responsible party to sort it out !!!

STM have gotten worse over the years from reading online not just from dsm either but from the evo and gtr groups! emery was a nice chap but who knows if its now part owned by someone else, remember RTM went the say way but is now resolved so similer here. my first order was a big ish one but i was collecting while on holiday so was not a huge deal but back then emery was running it strongly so times have changed for sure now.

STM should be sorting since you bought it from THEIR website who took YOUR money not aem! companys who give you the run around to do their work/job for them i hate and i stop buying from them myself! they get one shot and thats it! dont care where i am in the world shopping from! I bought an alt from JNZ years ago, it came from mitsu and came in faulty out the box but JNZ wanted to resolve it themselfs and then sort it with mitsu! so they always get my money and have done since day one pretty much.

Even without hearing all the details, this is pretty disappointing. I would expect the company who received payment for the transaction to help resolve it. I guess if they made it perfectly clear that they wouldn't be able to help, they should at least make it clear who would be helping resolve it, as in this case, the company who actually shipped the product, so you could go directly to them to get it replaced. Who was the shipper of the product?

just shows an address in NY, no name.

Also this is a PURE scam, spoke to my bank and apparently unless the seller (STM) AGREES to take it back and I send it, they win the dispute!!!! which is why the REFUSED to take it back they know they are a POS scammer company and know all the loop holes

Geez. What a joke! For stm not to handle this the right way is just awful. What’s the profit margin on a wb? Right not that much. If they’re not going to help the consumer with this, they’re sure as hell not when you make an even bigger purchase.

Just placed over a $1000 order with STM. I have a worried feeling :(
I dont think you need to worry, I mean unless it arrives damaged (because clearly they WILL wash their hands of it) which I can't imagine is a common thing, you should be fine

Quite side note to this companies LIES tho, check the tracking / Zip code it was dropped off... it was shipped from THEM, there was no "drop shipper" it was dropped off at fedex in THEIR own, passing the buck to a complete ghost is even lower then passing the buck, no wonder AEM looked at me like I had 6 heads when I called, they knew NOTHING about it!!!!

Go to the BBB if its a huge problem with getting it resolved.

As i said about drop ship or not whom ever you pay is the person to deal with it. They accepted your money afterall not aem!
Certainly keep on top of them and what normally works isnposting on the social sites so otuers see it then they quickly respond LOL. Wife has had to do this a few times after months of waiting to suddenly get help from a social post to make them look better for helping. Sucks yes but its quite common these days to go this route

After reading this post I am shocked that this Vendor has not joined the conversation . I had a similar problem with a package being delivered damaged.. When the part I ordered came in the box was damaged and the receiver excepted the package. If they had sent it back then and there it would have been replaced but because the store where it was delivered too excepted the box I was out of luck... Don`t give up. Good luck to you

No im saying when it arrived damaged and I reported it they CLAIMED it was shipped directly from AEM, which I found out was NOT true, from contacting AEM AND looking up STM's actual address and matching it to the Fedex drop off location

Honestly, I agree, how can they not simply say "off we are sorry, fire it back and we will send out a replacement" I mean I cant say I have had THAT many damaged packages in my life but each rare time it has happened the company takes it back and ships a replacement.

At this point I bought a working unit elsewhere (because my car was at a shop) so I dont need another one I need a refund but that's only because feet were dragged and I simply could not wait any longer

OK so you are claiming that STM dropped shipped it from AEM but in reality it actually came from STM and they lied about it coming from STM when in fact they shipped you junk and blamed it from being dropped shipped from AEM.

They didnt even pay any mind to it, just deleted it off the FB page!!! this company is a bunch of clowns

OK so you are claiming that STM dropped shipped it from AEM but in reality it actually came from STM and they lied about it coming from STM when in fact they shipped you junk and blamed it from being dropped shipped from AEM.
no THEY are claiming they drop shipped, I never knew or cared until that became the reason to rip me off, so NOW after it being my road block to NOT get ripped off I started looking and see that it was never drop shipped from AEM as claimed

Right, STM actually shipped you junk and blamed AEM.

Two words: EXTREME PSI, there is no reason to buy anywhere else other than them, PERIOD!!
I have spent thousand upon thousands from them over the years. Niu gives me instant email replies on any questions, will help me pick out OEM parts even for my non DSM Mitsus I own. Ships same day if I get the orders in on time, never had a wrong part shipped, best prices, and it takes 2 days to get here.
