Yeah, full boost @6300ish will be streetable. :)

HA! yea boobs can be too big. But can you imagine the fun it would be to slide off of them like you did on the slide when you were a kid at mickey d's playground!!!!! a turbo that agressive and the supporting mods for a 10,000 rpm rev limit is the stuff formula 1 is made of....

So what cams are you running this season JP?:)

Well see. Trying to wheel and deal some 272's or a phantom set of 280's floating around the area.

All else fails, the 101200's from last season.

You have somthing to sell me? :)

Man this thread was last posted in February. So any results you guys can share now since it is July? How are the FP3X's running? Any special setup you guys have to do to use the dual valve springs? Did you guys throw in the dual valve springs both at the same time without breaking them in with no issues?

Man this post is so old but for anyone that is searching for information on the correct or a good valve spring to run using FP3X cams the Kiggly high pressure original springs is what Kiggly recommended to me now days and are good for 40psi at 8500rpm max.

Is there a link you can share to get the FP3 and FP3X cams new? Or can we not get them anymore?
I have beed searching for a place to buy them and I can't get anywhere with Google. All I can find is FP Turbos.

Forgive my Newbness

Unfortunately FP no longer sells them but you can find them used randomly in the classifieds or from performance partout.

Thanks for that. I'll keep my eyes open for them.
You can find used, but used FP cams that you would find probably have a lot of miles on it. So if the budget allows you, I recommend to go with a new set.
GSC, Kelford, Brian Crower, Crower, Web Cam, Tomei, Jun Auto. You can buy a new set from them.

Good point. I wasn't sure how long ago they stoped producing them so that's good to know. There are a few cams you've listed that I haven't looked at. I will research them and see what I learn. Thanks for the options.

I creeped your 2G build. Very inspiring!

As much as I'd like to agree with you mainly because there are better cams as you suggested but cams aren't like a pushrod V8 where wear is a major issue. Our cams can have many miles on them and still be good. Just as the crank if a car is properly maintained then everything inside it should still be good. But if you can't find a good set I agree go with what was suggested you can't go wrong.

Used doesn't mean bad at all. If it's all in spec then totally no problem. And our cams still can get wear on lobe and journal but that's not my main concern on used set. Some cams, especially older models or ones that used to be in an engine that has ever hit valves with pistons can lose its straightness. Or if one of previous owners didn't tighten enough the cam gear bolts may have caused some crack on flange, too. Etc etc.. We can't know all history of the cams if it's used. I have seen distorted/cracked used sets are sold sometimes, the sellers didn't seem to know what they were actually selling. And if the seller doesn't know much about it, you would probably have a hard time to get back your money even if you find the set is out of spec, since many sellers believe that all cams that are taken from a "running" car are usable. Those are my concerns on used sets.
