Not sure how many know Mitsubishi's roots as a business, but found a pretty cool reference to that history in the movie "The Illusionist".

The name Mitsubishi goes back a long way. They made ships and airplanes way before cars.. You got a good eye to notice that emblem .

Looking up the plot, this movie takes place in 1889, just a couple years before officially becoming Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. You're right on with shipbuilding being the main business at the time.

Mitsubishi built the famous "Zero" of course.
