Many of us want a 7 bolt baffled oil pan solution. All you creative fabricators take a look and I'm sure a good solution would sell! Needs hinged baffles, kicked out sump, potentially deeper sump, modified pick up (shielded, extended), relocated return line (potentially). Make it so.

I know Buschur Racing baffles evo oil pans, I would think they would do ours as well. I wanted to get mine baffled and a spot for the oil temp gauge so was going to attempt to contact them. Not sure if they would provide the hinged baffles or deeper sump option but may be worth contacting them.

Wasnt a company in the US looking to do a pan? I swear they was and i assume nothing came of it.

Not Moroso was it? I don't remember another one but maybe I just missed it.
Nah certainly not them. I thought it might of been boostin or one of the other vendors. I would have to look back in posts to see exactly who it was that said they would look into it.

Just found it and it was Tony someone and Vamos. I mentioned a while back i thought of a diy kit to do at home and it may be the way forward. Each person can trim to suit their needs and space/surroundings.

Ya I’m going to do 7bolt pan extension like I did to my 6 bolt pan with kiggly mod oil pick up.
Does the kiggly mod have to be done to the 7 bolt oil pick up as well when the pan is extended? Does anyone have any pics of a modded 7 bolt pick up??

When i made my pan i used an evo pickup. The strainer is nicer snd more narrow and closed off. Its a much nicer design. I lengthend it to sit pretty much right at the bottom. Giving it ample room to suck all the oil up but not a bottom feeder so it had a good 5mm gap. I got some pics in my buikd thread but i dont know if i have any on my old hard drive as that would of been my old phone pics saved and i never got around to re uploading them

Agreed that EVO pick up is probably the way to go rather than shrouding the stock one (although not impossible). A drop in kit with box and trap door hinges would be better than nothing. Could cut off the current top baffle, and tack in the kit. Issue is that the sump is not flat and I would love a kick out with extra capacity.

The pickup enclosure is possible. I have seen these one before but the problem with this design is anything trapped inside dirt wise never comes out! Its the biggest down side to an enclosed pickup tube.

Over summer i will see if i can make something thats a decent half done kit. The rest will need to be welded at home. I will see if i can do a bolt in inner section vs welding to make it easier and the extra volume chamber will need to be welded if they want more oil capacity.
This will save shipping and save money.

Thanks didn’t even think about the Evo oil pick up. Good call just have to extend it

I am looking to having my 7 bolt pan modified to emulate the 6 bolt moroso pan as shown. A few questions.
The 4-3/8" kick out towards the driver side, I assume that clears over the stock subframe brace that runs front to back? I was planning to have the step out fairly flat with the sump, perhaps a slight slop towards the drain but I assume that step is required for clearance. It appears the best kick out would be towards the front of the car. The kick out is the biggest challenge.
As seen in the right diagram, the flange is sloped a fair bit. Is this because the engine is tilted in the car, the bottom of the block is that angled from horizontal, for oil change drainage, or a combination? That 9.7 length has to be wrong.
Any other clearance concerns? Differences between 1ga & 1gb that would be an issue?
Does anyone have the EVO oil pick up tube p/n? Is it a direct bolt on? I may just tack on a metal tube around the top of the mesh, same depth as mesh.

On 2nd thought. It appears the racefab approach may be better which is to deepen the sump about an inch and build the kick out the goes below the subframe brace. I like this approach more as it simplifies the sump build however requires the pick up tube to be extended but also has reduced road clearance. My engine is out of the car so I can't check all these things. I may have to place this project on hold until the engine is back in or until someone else comes up with a solution or at least the dimensions.

The racefab pan has a lot of interesting features. The sump is essential a fabricated box with baffles and welded onto the cut stock pan. That is a smart way to do it. The other feature is the internal pipe that is welded in from the oil return flange to the sump. That ensures oil returning from the turbo is directed to the sump during hard right turns rather than pooling up on the right side. However it should be downturned into the sump. They had to cut and lower the pipe in the pan and seal it up on the outside. I assume that is for engine clearance. When I modify my oil pan, I am thinking of moving the turbo oil return line connection to the sump area. Does it need to be above the oil level or can it be below? I assume the returning oil from the turbo is pressurized and not just a gravity drain. if pressurized, this should be ok. The drain line will have to be longer and navigate around the downpipe. Any thoughts?
