Hey guys, I recently installed fender flares on my car but I managed to hit my wiring harness in the driver side fender area with my drill and now I have some weird electrical problems. (pics down below). My car is a 98 gst automatic. Now my headlights and horn turn on when I open my door. My interior lights, radio, and powered door locks don't have power to them. I found the damaged wires and repaired them, but the issues didn't go away. I looked through all of the fuses and relays and none of them are fine. All of the other electronics seem to work fine.

When I unwrapped the harness I damaged the three wires I am holding which are the large white/black stripe, red w/white stripe, and yellow w/ red stripe. I looked through a diagram and saw that this wire connects to a "Combination meter" but I have no idea what that is. Is there anything that I should be look at? and Is there any module/box under the dash that I should be taking a look at?

Thanks for any input,

The "combination meter" is the gauge/instrument cluster. It sounds like you might have some more damaged wires or bad relays and/or fuses to track down.

Do your headlights and horn run continuously when you open your door or are they pulsing on and off like the anti theft system has been triggered?
May want to check the fuse kick panel on the driver side. I believe there are fuses there for the radio/door locks/interior lights.

Most likely you made a short or some damage in the theft alarm system circuit. Should check the hood switch and its 2 wires that is located just right next the hood support bracket in the driver's side.

Thanks for the replies I will look more into the alarm. When I open my door the lights and horn will stay on constantly, and not flash like if the alarm were tripped. Does anyone happen to know what the red and white wire lead to? I looked throughout all the diagrams in the factory service manual but I couldn't find it in any of the diagrams.

The large white/black is most likely the main power wire from the yellow 60A fusible link in upper left corner of engine fusebox which powers those things. Check that fusible link as you probably blew it when you hit it with the drill (note if you still have a short you'll blow any new one you put in there). You can stop the theft alarm horn by pulling it's relay which is high up under the dash left of steering wheel (https://www.dsmtuners.com/attachments/power-window-bypass-jumper-2g-jpg.107898/).

I poked around more into the issue of the alarm being the cause of the issues, so I removed my aftermarket alarm system, but that didn't change anything. I also replaced the ETACS-ECU, and that didnt change anything either. Heres a video showing what exactly is going on

My power locks weren't working so I went off that and did some testing and found that at the plug for the I found Its not getting power at the switches at the doors. My question is does anybody know what the junction block at the top of the diagram below looks like? I looked around the interior fuse box and could see the white with black wire from fusible link. I would like to know what it looks like before I start tearing through wiring under the dash. it seems like this is the most likely source of all the problems as it gets power from the white and black wire I damaged. I checked all the fuses and pulled and tested all the relays but none of it fixed the problem.

its the interior fuse box assembly. the first diagram is the circuit layout inside of it
