On one of the headlight connectors (right side preferred due to heavier gauge wire, but either should work) just connect the all red to the black wire. High and Lo filaments will then come on together on both sides with headlight switch.
[OR you can ground the heavier 14 gauge red wire on pin 5 of the B-77 connector (in harness above inside fusebox). OR ground the heavier 14 gauge red wire on pin 6 (not smaller red on pin 2) of the column dimmer passing switch].

I thought the 2g Eclipse was already wired the way you're asking about. In my car, if I turn the high beams on, the low beams stay on. I'm almost positive that nobody has messed with the wiring because I've taken the car apart multiple time and the only wiring that doesn't look stock is the stuff I've done.

Same for both of my 2G's

I have the factory wiring manual and know how it works. With factory wiring, the low beams stay on when you turn high beams on (as with most cars). I thought (in your original post) you were requesting how to make the high beams to always be on when the low beams are on (and low beams to be on when high beams are on), so I said how to do that in post 2. What EXACTLY do you want?

Sounds like you have the wrong bulb type which can do that. Do you have after market lights or something that is not factory? Or someone re-wired it. The factory headlight relay supplies +12v to one side of both high and low filaments. The other side of the low beam goes to ground so it has to stay on whenever the headlight relay is on (which it is for high beams). The other side of the high beam goes to the high beam switch which puts a ground on it to turn them on.

Well that's correct. From the wiring diagrams I don't see how the low beams could ever turn off when the high beams turn on with the factory wiring. Are you sure someone didn't re-wire them somehow?

@ec17pse Bobby, are your headlights and high beams this way?

Maybe check part numbers for headlight stalk US vs Eruo
My cars US spec so not much help. I might be very wronv with this as its been a while since i used the lights on the car but i used to get 1 or the other. It used to click over so if i held the stork it would have both working. Click it and the low beams cut off and im on high beam only. My wiring for the headlights has not been altered. Only side light wiring has been added from the oem amber corners.

Only thing i can think of is perhaps the relay connecting thr lights is different but i really dont know on this

Thinking about it i might have it wrong. It might be that my spot lights turned off when high beams were on when i click it to high beam rather then holding the stalk myself. It has been a while though so i am trying to remember from over a year ago

Hey I have a Canada spec with drl relays. It should be in all Haynes manuals? I didn't think there were different editions of Haynes manuals for Canada spec vs US spec.

I am still confused though why your high beams are not working? Mine do. When you pull the turn signal switch towards you the high beams and low beams come on as long as you have the light dial turned to the on position. In the off position your drls will be on at half capacity and you can no longer turn high beams on even if you pull the switch. This is indicated by the blue high beam indicator in your gauge cluster.

If you mess with the headlight wiring you will mess up the relay since the wiring goes through the relay box (located above your horn driver side)

Also the Talon headlights utilize two pairs of HB4s for both low and high beams. I believe the Eclipse headlights are different. But I could be wrong it has been awhile since I messed with my headlight configuration. I converted from Eagle headlights to 2gb Eclipse headlights with no issues.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm having a similar issue, I have started a new thread for.
I am having an issue with my drls, the wiring manual has colours that are different then mine and I have seen atleast 2 variations of the diagrams.
My car worked before I did a fusebox relocation( pretty sure) and it didn't have either of the 2 drl relays. The issue that I'm having is when my drls should be on, they are ever so slightly and they buzz, and I don't get taillights either. I believe I have narrowed to it down to the red with a white stripe wire that goes from the drl ecu and between the two headlights and back to the headlight relay
