No it just seemed to happen without me noticing. I don't drive aggressively alot nowadays and when i decided to give it a little throttle a few weeks ago i noticed the issue. The car usually pulls very hard under boost. I guess i won't know much about the fuel conditions until i install an AFR.

I believe so im using the 97-99 ecu firing order chart. There is a difference in the 95, 96 ecu something to do with a change in cam angle sensor if I read it correctly.

It will help to see if it in fact has to do w afrs. Saw you posted a thread. I’ll read it to see if it’s from anything you replaced. Spark plug wires are In correct order?
I wish you could see all thw extra wiring put into this car that the fast and furious obviously inspired. I have pulled tons of unessassary wiring out. Speaking of wiring is your fuel pump (+) factory wire blue/black stripe. This wire is ran in conjuction with the new 10g power supply to the fuel relay. That is wrong right?

Hey guy I'm having a big problem...need help bad..I have a 1999 eclipse spyder gs with a 4g64 automatic..ok now I want to make it 5 speed...this the thing I had a 1996 eclipse rs that was manual..so I decided to take the 4g64 out and swap with a 420A..all the fabrication is done the engine is all bolt it down ready to ride...but one big problem...I got bo power to the starter..everything else working but no fuel no cranks...I use the 420a main harness with ecu..are the gs and rs car harness are different or something plz help me

Ok so it is a manual 420a paired with the correct transmission is what i am gathering and put into a former automatic spyder with a 4g64. So you installed the clutch pedal with the pressure switch connected to it? If the ECU thinks that the clutch is engaged the starter will not engage the bendix gear in the starter to turn the flywheel.

Idk what the fuel pump + wire is in a 2g. You should be able to find that easily. As for the the wiring, is it rewire?

Dude. You’re in Jeff’s build journal. Please post your random question in the appropriate section.

Yeah its a rewire. I did not do the rewire myself. But everything i have read says the to run the cut wire off the plug to a electric constant source via relay. And run the other end of the blue black from the ecu to the relay to power supply the relay itself. They are supposed to go to different connectors on the relay. This might be a viable way to do it im not sure which way would be more efficient or if it makes a difference at all.

The last few weeks has been a very difficult trend with my car. Somehow i managed to lose a washer to the timing cover without knowing. Drove down the road car falls dead. The washer caught the trigger plate and destroyed the CPS and boogered the trigger plate. Ordered a new sensor, crank trigger, and timming belt since i had to remove it anyway. Got it all good to go took it down the road slowly the engine starts to lose power, pushed it home again pulled up the cel and it was a CAS failure. Checked all the wiring and tested the sensor and yep no signal at the sensor. Replaced it good to go again. Right about the time I was going to let the clutch out to leave the driveway the engine dies again...
Looked around went to try to start it up and the clutch pedal was incredibly soft. Looked under the car and the Slave-cylinder puked out most of my fluid. So i ordered a new master cylinder and slave cylinder. I guess it could be worse the washer that i lost could have torn the timing belt and destroyed the engine.
I should have replace those clutch components back in May when i put in my new clutch and flywheel. I would post pics of the broken parts but I can't seem to get the pictures to upload right now.

made some headway on the fuel leak issue ended up being the high pressure line right off the fuel pump hanger. Not sure if anyone else has had issues with this line. I was going to make my own but hydraulic hoses and fittings available at the shop i work at aren't rated for fuel but I did find a direct bolt on line available on Mach Motorsports. It's a bit pricey but I guess I just wanted to make sure I got something that would work.

I was a bit surprised myself. I usually have to custom make some stuff or buy different odds and ends together to make it work. I'll be sure to update after i get it and install to share how the quality is. I'm pretty much just taking a gamble on it, I've never bought from that company before.

To go along with the fuel system repairs and upgrades that are currently underway i ordered some new up to date gauges from by prosport to help me tune the car much better so i bought a AFR and EGT digital read out in the 60mm size for my pillar

:barf:

Ok so the fins on the cold side of the turbo have 2 that are slightly bent inward slightly.... Checked the full card for play and its got more than I feel safe running. Not sure if i want to change the setup entirely or rebuild this turbo. If anyone knows a good shop that can rebuild a 16g and balance it good enough to make an OCD man child happy please let me know. I would also be open to new turbo suggestions as well. Bad start to a new year LOL.

I currently am waiting for a new turbo card for the Greddy, but in the meantime i got a couple other things in. I got a brand new Type-S remanufactured by NGR since Greddy no longer makes this and my old is wore out.

The high pressure fuel line i ordered came in and i picked up a new fuel pump hanger as i damaged the original the last time i removed the pump. The hose is a direct fit so its the real deal. got the walbro attatch and hope to be running soon.

I also decided to go with vibrant vac and boost lines that showed up as well, the hoses im using now i no longer have faith in and vibrant makes great stuff, in my opinion.

JeffGS-T97 updated 97 eclipse

Turbo card on the way, finished installing all new vibrant hoses, installed my Prosport AFR and EGT, installed high pressure fuel line and brand new Delphi fuel pump hanger. I have sent my valve cover off to be professionally powder coated white with silver lettering.

Working on a gauge mount in the factory gauge cluster. I will be deleting the speedometer permanently due to ongoing issues with trying to get it to stay working. Replaced sensor twice, gauge once and the gear in the trans and I'm over it. In it's place will be a Prosport 85mm Evo with fast response GPS signal speedometer.
I will be posting pics when it comes in, and i get it installed. Im kind of temped to put in the 85mm tachometer they make to make them match.

I think it's just an electric signal from the trans speed sensor. I've swapped out the gauge as well for testing and it was still dead. I've not seen a cable anywhere.
