Aftermarket Alternator

Another option is the 98 Galant alternator. I know the 2Gs are 75 amp alternators and the Galant one is a straight bolt on and is a 90 amp alternator. Not really a high output alternator but it is another option. The Saturn alt upgrade is I think a 130 amp alt and there are plenty of write ups on here about it.
 
I wouldn't recommend ANY aftermarket brand of alternator, they never work right, they all use cheap Chinese voltage regulators that dont ramp up and down properly when charging is needed vs not needed, you end up with all or nothing which results in belt squeal, flickering lights, a car that wont charge below "x" rpm, a car that eats batteries due to overcharging, etc. You can have a stock Mitsubishi alternator rebuilt to a higher output, you can also as mentioned use a GM CS130 style alternator, but if you choose the GM option make sure to buy a genuine GM alternator, either used or brand new from a dealer, they aren't that expensive to buy new and they come with a warranty that way, its a worthwhile investment.
