Hey everyone, I need a huge favor from the community right now.. I am finishing a build and I desperately need a part. The part is the fuel filler neck to tank hose. It’s the larger of the two hoses for the 99 GSX. Everywhere I call says it’s discontinued, obsolete etc and Miller sent me the wrong one. If someone has a spare or has a part out shelled gsx please let me know. I am literally only waiting on this hose to finish putting my gsx back on the road. I tried making my own from different size hoses and an adapter and it just does not work well. I really really need a solid from anyone on here that may either have one or knows where I can get one. I attached a photo of the part I need.

The problem is that the filler neck and fuel tank are two different sizes LOL. Using radiator hose still involves having to use an adapter to size up and down. I bought some gates hose and an adapter but I just don’t like the way it mocks up so I am really trying to get the oem hose. May just have to be patient for someone to part out a shell or junkyard etc. I bought new oem hose clamps too so good there.

Yeah I read a post on here about doing something similar too and I am trying to avoid multiple sections if possible. But it seems I will have to go that route too. Already have the adapter and some hose so probably going to mock it up today.

I think if you use the correct parts it would be no problem. The neck on my 2001 Montero is 2 pieces, so if its good enough for OEM you should be fine.

I would NOT use radiator hose. I've learned the hard way over the years to use the correct rubber for the fluid it's exposed to. Especially so for the filler hose. If that rubber breaks down and fails youre in for an extremely bad time.

If you cannot find OE, marine fuel line would make a suitable replacement. I was able to use 1.5" line to replace the OE soft fuel feed hose on a CSM.

If all else fail .. you may have to make that adapter.. So I am assuming this pipe is a different size at each end. Use one of those muffler adapters with the right measurements to the hose you need.. ? Could be a temporary fix for now ..

Definitely dude! Any pics of the hose and the hose installed you can attach??!
Unfortunately we were rushing when installing it and didn't grab any pictures, but the next time I can get it on a lift I will be getting pictures! I wasn't able to install it due to a shoulder injury, but my buddy said it was very straightforward and went on pretty easily.

I'm the buddy LOL. each end is a different size, so it only goes on one way! not too bad, just get the car up high enough to get yer arm up in there!
