I was thinking today, will there ever be a company or some one that can remake the trim and seals for our cars 1g 2g gvr4? It may just be me but seems theres enough of us out there that it would be profitable. Id like to know if any one else has thought of this as well. Since everything is sold out and not being made again by mitsubishi.

I have heard that the company SoffSeal will make custom/new stuff to order, but IDK. I know they make a lot of stuff for the big 3. Maybe someone could reach out and ask them if they would be willing to make some DSM stuff.

I’d be a buyer for sure for 1g if this becomes a reality.

I have looked into drip rails but the tooling costs was quite abit. The next bit was to see if anyone can re rubber them instead of replacing the metal work which is more possible but its hasstle shipping forward and back all the time. Seals and trim seals should be easy to be made and to the companys its easy but they need a reason to produce them and thats numbers or a good following like old skool muscle cars have

yeah maybe we can find someone that would be willing to do let's say a "kit" for the whole car. But get a pre-order to see how much interest it gets. One for each car 1g-2g-gvr4. But I agree it would be much easier to find someone that can just redo the stock drip rails. I don't think sending the old stock ones in would be to much of a hassle. But who knows.

The stock drip rails would go into a poster tube pretty well and that should protect them and wouldn't cost that much to ship.
