Hello, anyone aware of good rebuild kit for stock turbo on 98 gsx and if wastegate refresh parts come with em? I’d like to go bigger or better, but know that would prob require new injectors, fuel pump, tune etc and don’t know I can afford all that right away. Thanks ahead.

@JusMX141 - Justin probably has a rebuild kit for you. If its the stock turbo its a t25 and no, the rebuild kits doesnt come with a wastegate refresh parts. Its far and few wastegates, at least stock internal ones, get serviced.

As far as going bigger. I would not go bigger until you have supporting mods like you mentioned. I would actually opt for tuning software before any other upgrade is made. If you are upgrading your turbo, to keep all the factory hardware like the coolant and oil lines, you would want to opt for a Garrett upgrade in the stock bolt on form like a T28, if you go MHI you'll need to modify a few parts like the coolant lines and buy a new oil feed.

I hate AutoZone too. All the parts stores just seem to be crap when it comes to these cars. I'm really not sure if they would carry this part or not. ExtremePSi usually has some parts we can't find elsewhere, or are otherwise unable to get. I would check out their stop just to see if they happen to carry it. https://www.extremepsi.com/store/

While I don't sell parts kits to the public, I often urge someone thinking of servicing their stock TB2566 to give it a thorough inspection first as usually by the time those units have reached the point where you assume there's a problem, they're not able to be repaired. If there's any in-out shaft movement greater than about .010", throw it away.
