Well I figured id update you guys, I havent gave up on the Spyder, its just been sidelined. I habe the short block on an engine stand but nothing has changed. Ive pushed the car out and tarped it so maybe after summer I'll get back to it.

In other news ive made some good choices in the past month, I traded off my 300 and got a new daily, someone traded in a 98 stratus with the 2.4 thats the new rainy day car. As for sunny days these are my two new rides.

I thought it was kind of funny I said sunny day cars but the plymouth is in a puddle haha. Anyways tell me what you guys think. For the next 3 weeks the plymouth will be in the garage getting all the maintenance done that is needed. I'll be taking it on a 900 mile round trip in 3 weeks to a carshow.

Ludachris,
great aftermarket availably on engine parts from what I can tell. not so great with everything else haha, I do have leads on anything I may need but currently im just driving it how it is. I do have some parts coming for it in the mail, 1 is a 6v tach because is so quite I cant hear how hard the engine is running at speed, and 2 some springs out of a ford van and some 2 inch lowering blocks to give it a nice stance. next set of parts will probably be on the exhaust, its about 800ish for some split manifolds mufflers and duel pipes.

I'm not dead. . . . . . . it was a toss up weather or not to work on the spirit rt or the eclipse this winter. I figured since I already have 2 engines on stands for the eclipse I should probably work on it first. so this weekend I'm going to tear into the old engine that had spun a rod and strip it down. I believe ill be doing rings and bearings on the short block I got in the spring. Also update I moved into the house I've been building, its not done but its livable and it feels great to walk out of the living room right into the heated garage.

As so many other dsm'ers have succumb to the pressures of selling their yard ornament eclipse, I have hit the road of hopefully no return by posting my turd up for sale. After selling off the two engines I had for it and the trans. My next idea was to v8 swap it with a fine mopar engine. Of course it was an awesome idea in my eyes but the never ending flow of shitboxes coming in my driveway keeps putting this thing on the back burner and I want to see it go to someone that can use it. Eventually I'm sure I'll have another. But my main project is still my 53 plymouth, which went through alot of work last year, drove a couple thousand miles to various car shows then for winter had its engine pulled for a fun engine swap. Next post should be the confirmation of new ownership for the contender.
