On the web site you provided there is a button to check if this is the correct cable for your car...It does not fit your 97 Eclipse but is correct for your 91 Talon
I never trust those thing, the past three times I've went to get belts none of them fit.

Do you know the difference between the 2g and 1g? Is it just cable length?

Thats a 1g cable. I think youtube has a "hack". I hate hacks but if its the ONLY choice then thats it. I snatched up 2 2g cables since I own 1, back when they got scarce. My inventory goes over 400 various parts tho.

That's awesome wish I had that many parts or space to put them haha. I was ok with the cable box but when I was in the process of installing speed density in my throttle body elbow I kind of slipped and nearly broke the cable catching myself, now it kind of snags up and takes a few seconds for my throttle to go back to 0 when pushing in the clutch or idle. Majority of my parts are 2g stuff but back in Alabama, I have a complete 90 GST roller minus transmission and head.

Hang on. I'll show you the difference. I "think" you "may" be able to alter the 1g. Would take some gentle bending and I bet they would work. Don't quote me on it tho!
The NEW CABLE is a 1g cable still available, its the longer cable. The used, but good cable is a 2g, both non-cruise cables.
Black end is new 1g, Yellow end is used 2g.

If I had to, I'd probably drill 2 different holes and mount a 1g cable when it came down to choices and if I needed it that bad. Yours sounds sluggish which is typical.

This seems like a “first” to me; a part that can still be obtained for a 1g, but not for a 2g! Is it because so many 2g had cruise, and the non-cruise parts had little demand?
I’m in the opposite situation, having looked for cruise-control cables to my 1g (and a 90, no less, the one-year oddball). No luck so far. Not the kind of part I would generally try to find used from another vehicle, but if yours is actually damaged, then worth considering. In my case I’m thinking of it as more of a maintenance move, since they’re basically working fine; just looking old. You should check with some of the supporting vendors ( JNZ et al.), and perhaps Amayama and Megazip.
Lastly, after some searching I came across a company called CMA cable, that might be able to reproduce one for you. I’ve not contacted them for myself yet, but worth a try.

The description is saying that its a 65.5" cable, thats like five and a half feet long!!! not sure if that would be a good one to get or not haha.
Everything that I've found online are 68", 71" it does seem very long. What's the measurement of an actual 2g non cruise cable?

That's good info, thanks. Do you think you could measure the 2g cable length?

Depending on where you measure, its between 53-61"
Look at the pictures for reference.
