Hey there. I was wondering if anybody knows how different evo 8 rings are from standard 2g DSM 7 bolt 4g63 rings, and more specifically, if I could use rings for evo 8 pistons on my oem DSM pistons. Reason is I have a new set of OEM evo 8 rings and if they're the same then I'd rather save the cost.

They are different. Different thickness and the oil control rings are different, too.

No, you shouldn't do that, they won't work as they should. Just get a right ring set for your pistons.
