Made it out to kevin jewers dsm event a few weeks ago and had the car ready to run in the sport class. First pass off the trailer it went 9.15 @ 148 with the transfer gears coming apart at the top of 3rd gear. The gears broke the case so I was done for the day but happy I set a personal best. After hanging around at the track I found out I was #1 qaulifer for the sport class ( all the fast guys were sand bagging LOL) My wife talked me into taking the car home and pulling the trans. I took a random trans from storage and swapped a few parts around and made sure everthing looked good in it. We got the car back together late that night but was back at the track first thing in the morning. First pass car went 9.17 @ 143 Transmission worked good but was down on Mph ended up forgetting to put the BOV vaccum line back on. The rest off the day went good until the semi finals against Deric Dupey's Super nice DSM. I knew I would have to get the jump on him to have a chance and ending up red lighting. All in all the stock motor is still kicking and the car seems to be working good and hopefully it will go faster in 2021.

The item Just your average 1g has been updated:

Its Old news now but I have met all my goals with my car. Officially Running 8.98 at the 29th Shootout and being the First Stock Bottom end 6 Bolt to run 8's
Was this a “freshly” machined bottom end with factory rods and pistons with some fancy hardware or was this a true blue factory Mitsubishi bottom end?

I am sure some would like to know. As long as it is a factory rod and piston I say anything else is fair game.

This is a stock untouched bottom end. No fancy hardware. I know you can't tell much from this pic but this is after it started to push the head gasket after running multiple low 9s at kevin jewers old track. Ill have to dig for some pics from the last time the oil pan was off.
