Just put the motor back in and #3 isn't firing. When I pulled the #3 plug wire, nothing changes and sounds like a subaru. I have spark on all 4. There is 12v constant at the black wire. Unfortunately, I do not have a noid light so I used a test light on that injector clip, and it's not turning on. From what I've read, the ecu grounds the circuit, pin #60 (Light green #3 fuel injector output). If this is correct, can I use a test light between battery + and pin #60 to make sure it is in fact grounding the circuit? I had the harness out and think it's possibly a broken wire. Also, Link has a feature to turn on injectors, correct?

I just had this happen and turned out to be the wiring that went in to the connector. All the wires broke except for one which was holding it in place. I hardwired a new connector in and it fired right up.

Node light will be your friend but definitely check the wiring at the connector to see if any broke or the pin came out from tugging on the harness.

I check continuity from the connector to the harness at the ecu and it was fine. Not sure what’s going on but there’s a couple of thing I need to check. Noid would be great but I’m going to use a test light from the ground wire to 12v to make sure it’s being grounded. This should verify electrics so then I’ll move onto checking the injector. If that checks out, I’m going to prime the fuel system, then manually apply 12v to the injector and see if the pressure drops.

I'd be very leery of this injector, the last thing you want is for it to stick again during spirited driving and cause that cylinder to go lean. Safer in the long run to replace it.

You’re right. I won’t be doing any hard driving until break in is over. We’ll see how it does.
