Snagged a set of Evo 8 Enkeis and some Evo 8 Black Leather seats. Still unsure how long I'll keep this chassis on the road with the rust issues, but going to make it an enjoyable driver in the meantime!

Quick Update:

Picked up a set of 2GA Talon Twisty Side Skirts that Color matched from a parts car I had around. Also changed the Oil and Front Brakes out (Previous owner had no idea what brake grease was and had a seized guide pin that broke off while pulling the brakes apart) Waiting on my brackets from Wedge Engineering to arrive to install the seats as well as ordered some Yonaka coilovers. Read mixed reviews regarding the Yonaka Coilovers and figured for $500 it was worth a try to see what they're like. Primarily looking for something that rides decent and removes some of my monster truck gap. Looking forward to giving a review to others looking for a budget coilover option. Quite a few maintenance items still need to address on the vehicle. Mostly just hoarding parts and taking it out for the occasional drive at the moment.

Got a little more work done this weekend on the vehicle. Installed Coilovers all the way around (Yonaka) and have to say I am extremely impressed with the ride quality for a budget coilover. At right around $500.00 my expectations where pretty low and I am blown away at the quality for the price. Definitely would recommend to others. Still need to get the vehicle on the alignment rack this week and replace some tie rods. Also went ahead and got one Evo 8 Recaro installed with my brackets from Wedge Engineering. Need to get the drivers side still installed, but that will be a bit of a challenge due to a drivers side power seat that has a bad motor and will not adjust forward. Will tackle that project hopefully later in the week, but for now pretty happy with how shes coming together!

You MF'er, I've been looking for twisties forever LOL What did you do with your GSX skirts? Looking forward to the Yonaka review!

I've actually got another set of twisties in the garage that a guy was trying to pick up off of me and hes Ghosted out so hit me up on a PM! The 2GB skirts never had door mouldings, but I'll stash them on the shelf for now. Initial review on the Yonakas is I can't believe how great they are for $500. Curious to see the longevity!

Got a crazy idea last night to start tearing into my exhaust leak and some other concerns I've had. Always questioned the double clamp that the previous owner had on the upper radiator hose, but it didn't leak so didn't fiddle with it. Come to find the radiator is definitely shot. Great news is I have a Mishimoto sitting on the shelf ready to go in and some silicone radiator hoses. Found my exhaust leak to be a blown manifold gasket due to a broken stud that was unattended by the previous owner. Can't decide if I love the fact he didn't torque the manifold to turbo bolts, or if it concerns me more so, but in the end no broken bolts, or studs when removing the manifold. Going to extract the stud from the head this evening and install my Forced Performance manifold. Also planning some general degreasing and clean up while I have things apart!

Got some time to play with the GSX this past weekend. Finished installing my Drivers side Evo 8 Recaro (Bit of a pain as the OEM seat was stuck in the all the way back position.) Also made up my own set of door panels to suit my taste for the interior. I am very pleased with how they came out! Will strip everything back down this winter on the interior to do a heavy cleaning. Side note the Small 16g is in and spooling nicely. Got a few good pulls on it with link hooked up running about 18 psi with a Walboro 190lph and no adjustments as of yet. Going to finish throwing the 3" Turbo back on tonight and monitoring the wideband to see what I can make happen. Shipped my precision 880 injectors to FIC today to have them flow tested and cleaned. All in all this car is coming together and brings a smile to my face when boost hits!

Sorry for bringing this back to life, but how are the yonakas treating you? Looking at buying a set for the Christmas deal at $450

This car unfortunately got totaled and only got about 8k out of them. I still have them and they're about to go on my AWD spyder. Getting close to being able to run them again. Some of the best riding budget coilovers I've ever experienced.

I just bought a set during their christmas sale. I was worried that the 14k spring rate was going to be pretty rough. I thought about selling them and going to a BC or even Tein. That and no dampener adjustability kinda sucks, but they were a extremely good price.

I probably will hold on to them then!

Where are you at in Centennial? I grew up in SE Aurora off of smokey hill. I still go back often to visit friends and family. One of the things I miss the most about Colorado is the car scene. Nebraska really sucks for cars.

Same area. We're right across from Eaglecrest High school. May be making a move to parker in the near future, but we've really liked it out here.
