Quick back story, I'm currently deployed and purchased a 1G Talon sight unseen and hit it delivered to my house about a month ago. A few weeks back, Hurricane Sally hit our area and with the wife being busy with work, didn't have time to check on the car until just the other day. It's seen rain on multiple occasions and never once leaked. Well, she checked it the other day and both driver and passenger side floorboard had standing water as well as the trunk area. I can't seem to find anything on here or google if the 1G's have drain tubes above the door or rear hatch and being half way around the world, I'm unable to inspect it myself. She cleaned out the water, pulled the seats, and pulled up the carpet and thank goodness no rust but she will just be throwing a cover on until I get back. I'm thinking if there is "drain tubes" they could just be clogged up.

Your car has a number of drain tubes in the drip rails, sunroof, and hatch. All clog easily. I don't have my manual handy so I can't say exactly where they are, but from experience I know this is likely what's happening. I've cleaned mine out with speaker wire in the past, then poured water to test for proper drainage.

thanks man, I figured it had to of had something. I've seen others mention either air compressor or weed eater line for their 2g's. Looking like another possible hurricane heading my way here in the next few days so hopefully i have a car to come back to.

+2 on some "pokey thing" and compressed air. Just don't poke a hole thru them. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Scotty, I don't want to say do this, but if it retains water after cleaning the tubes and SINCE YOU ARE ON DEPLOYMENT, do what you have to to NOT let water sit in it and deal with your new drain holes later that you have made, if you must.
A rusted out floorboard is much worse than another drill/drain hole if you aren't there to deal with it personally.
I'm sure there may be differing opinions but since you aren't with the car now, see what happens during the next rain after cleaning out the tubes.
