Soon I will be in the market for a fmic kit(one that I can keep my fogs) to replace my old greddys long route. Don' t really need something fancy being my power goals are only around 300 to 400. I thought about the cx/punishment kit but is it just me or did these kits go up in price. The only one I see is on eBay for $521(could swear these were going for $350 before) and idk if it is worth that. I meant couldn't I get a way better one with just a little bit more money. Does anyone know we're I can get a decent kit from without having to hand over my wallet.

Hmm, that's odd. Yeah I got mine for 350 or 400 or something like that.
It is a good kit, you will run into 3 hurdles.
1: obviously you will need to cut your bumper opening a good bit.
2: the left pipe that goes in front of the transmission likes to rub against the clutch line condenser thing. (What I did at first was take a spare coupler, cut it open and wrap it around the pipe and zip tie it, that way it didn't cut into the pipe. I did go to an ss clutch line 6 months ago and that deletes the condenser thing, so problem solved)
And 3: the mounting bar position is not a direct bolt on (at least for me) hopefully I have a picture so I don't have to type this.
(I did) so you can barely see but i drilled holes for the 2 middle mounting bolts about half an inch back, this pulls the fmic forward so it's not touching the ac condenser lines. And the outside bolts are explained by the picture.

I hope this helps if you decide to go with this kit

This isn't the cheapest route, but I bought the ETS street intercooler ($340) so that I could keep the factory bumper bar, and then bought the CXRacing FMIC kit ($280 from Punishment Racing) and gave the intercooler away. The BOV flange had serious issues and no amount of paper gaskets, cork gaskets, rubber gaskets, or RTV could get it to seal. I had to take it to a machine shop to flatten the flange. This was in late 2018. Prices these days seem to be pretty out there.

My bumper is already trimmed from my greddy fmic. I'm still confused on why the only place I can find is Kit is eBay and why it's $521 now.

U can't find this kit on cx anymore and PR website redirects you to a amazon page that doesn't exist anymore. All my Google searches keep turning me up to eBay on that one kit for $521

I also went with ets , but I had custom piping made.

I literally bought the VRSF intercooler kit like 6 months ago for $350 why did they discontinue it? Also I remember looking at punishment racing being around the same price but being out of stock so that might explain the price jump

I guess vrsf doesn't make stuff for our platform anymore. I remember seeing the cx/punishment one for that price too.

I already had the piping from a previous intercooler that was on my car, so I just bought a Mishimoto universal M-line intercooler. I had to make some brackets for it, but that was easy, and it seems to be doing well.
I've been looking at the Mishimoto core also. Just would have to buy the piping because my greedy uses the long route.

With the 521 price tag might as well go with a quality unit like the ETS 2g FMIC. Cant say for sure if you can still retain fog lights, might need to give them a call and find out.
Thats what I thought but I need the piping too and when I looked them up only seen the core. I don't want to pay close to 800 just for a core on my light set-up
