A couple of suggestions if I may. Not sure if the engine has been rebuilt or if it's been sitting for awhile but I would suggest some "Stabil Fogging Oil" you remove the spark plugs, and spray for 3 sec into each cylinder. It lubricates it for first starts or people who have had it sitting for awhile. Also just pull the engine fuse and crank the engine for a bit. This should build up oil pressure for you. Then pop it back in and your good to go. Keep us posted
I have definatly heard of that before. Thanks dude i will definatly pick some up and give it a go!

Well today was the day. I spent all day yesterday chasing fuel leaks and wrapped that up this morning. Plugged in laptop, Changed a few things in ecmlink, crank and crank and crank and crank and crank and dead battery.

Damn. Dont forget to fog the cylinders. It's easy to forget. And full the engine fuse then crank to build oil pressure. Keep us posted.

Alright so big issues but small update. I have known that im having issues with mice making nests in my car while its been stored. But I guess they got into wiring a but more than I had thought. Got to the car and went to try to start again and the moment the key hit the on position 100 amp alternator fuse blew. Starting chasing wires and found the short in my alternator wire. No big deal. I was going to relocate it and wire a kill switch anyway. But I saw what a mouse could do. Little more curious and found more wires with chunks missing. I didnt even diagnose further than that. Im pulling the engine harness and fuse box harness. Pulling it all apart and inspecting and fixing everything I can. Ill also take this time to relocate the fuse box and to depin unused connectors. Photos will be posted as I work through it and find more issues.

I am actually dealing with the same issue just not as bad. Found 3 nests. One under center console, under rear seat, and trunk. Found 5 dead mice while cleaning every thing. The car has been sitting in my driveway for almost 10 years. I just paid $690 in back registration (since 2011) fees and penalties (that was only 4 years of fees/penalties, that's the max the DMV can go back). Fired her up (took a couple min) but noticed turn signal lights where not working immediately, almost like something is loose or chewed on. Also noticed that the mirrors switch is no longer working. Ugh. I feel your pain

It is quite the bummer. Im also going to pull the ecu at that time too to make sure everything is alright in there since my injectors were not firing. Probably wiring but I want to know for sure.

Any update?
Not really, I have been working on a new engine harness here and there but nothing crazy. I went to continue diagnosing about 2 weeks ago and when I went to turn the key, popped the alternator fuse. Chased the wire and my charging wire was shot. Bought a new charging wire aswell as a 97 galant 90 amp alternator since that needs to be done anyway. Run a new charging wire, Battery cable, and extend my fuel pump rewire back to a kill switch on the rear bumper.

But I have more or less slowed down for the winter. Hit and miss snow already and I have the car outside so it get unpleasant quickly. Plans for the winter is to get the wiring issue figured out, defend agaist mice, get it running in early spring. Then paint. There shouldn't be much more to do but my priorities for the winter are more set on paying off the rest of my debt and finding a new job as I get out of the military in 10 months.

It has been a while since I have posted anything but nothing has really happened. Its winter here and my car is stored outside so it takes a bit of motivation to head out there. Since I last posted I have ordered and received a 2 gauge charging wire, several breakers, a 0 gauge battery wire that I probably won't need, a cut off switch for my back bumper, and a new alternator.
With the electrical issues I left off on I have decided to go through an engine harness that I picked up from a local and rebuild it. I can do that at home so I'm sure that will be done relatively quick in comparison to work on the car (snow).
Tomorrow I will be placing an order with OHM Racing for several connectors, some looming, and a bit of wire. I will also be getting a few pigtails and a decent crimp tool since I don't have one other than a generic autopart store one.
Future purchases will include a hub adaptor for the steering wheel and quick disconnect I have somewhere in my room and I will be getting new seats. I found some grey leather oem looking racing seats online for cheap and im going to pick those up to match my interior untill It is time to invest in a cage. That's when im sure ill grab a kirkly (misspelled) seat. I will also be buying injectors.
I currently have 2150s and to be honest they are probably a but large for what I will be running. Mind you, im on e85 and 2150s are known for corroding so that could be my current problem or a problem I could run into in the future. I will be getting 1650s since they have stainless internals and I have heard they are a better choice of the two in regards to tuning and such. I dont really have a tuner of my own to ask which I would normally do and I am not going to reach out to a random tuning for advice on a car they probably won't be tuning. Thats rude.
Early spring I will also be draining my gas tank as at this time I have about 10 gallons of 2 year old 93 in the tank and it has probably gone bad. Im also going to get a new fuel filter since I'm sure that will be a bit gummed up and I may have clogged it trying to start on old fuel. Which could have been the problem all along anyway although it didn't look or smell bad.
Lastly, upon the eventual startup and tune, I will be ether wrapping my car. Wrap is cheaper but it will probably lift the shitty paint job that is currently on the car. But the way I look at it, if it lifts it up, that is less work I have to do stripping the car when it is time to paint for good. Nardo grey is the choice of color.

Ohm racing order has been placed. Lots of supplies but I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap it was. Expected to pay double but glad I didn't have to.

Harness is done. I now need to test all the connectors but they should be fine. Then I have to breeze through the chassis harness but that won't be nearly as bad.

Everything checked out on the harness. Tested everything I knew how and im convinced it is good to go. Its still really cold outside so I'm relatively at a stand still but the fuse box and chassis harness are next. Then clean injectors, fuel tank, and change my inline fuel filter. Then try to start again. Im also going to test a few relays for good measure.

New alternator and jays racing relocation kit are in. Still need to extend the wiring but damn was that difficult to put in.... also pulled out the old wiring harness. New one will be going in this weekend. Checked the ecu to verify that that wasn't my issue and it looks fine to me.

Well its been esther deathly cold or snowing like crazy for a few weeks now. I have been unable to work on my car. Meanwhile the storage unit I have my car in is saying they want to get rid if the parking spots and put storage boxes there. So now my timeline to running has moved up. Bet the bastards want to do it in the spring too so I might need to get someone to give me a tow or rent a usual trailer and truck to where ever the next spot will be. Probably a friends house. Then in November I'm moving accross the country.

And with that move, I have been strongly thinking about the path of my cars build. Im clear out of the territory of "street car" and pretty deep into "race car". Although, I will still drive it on the street. I am moving back the the missouri area. Probably st louis or the ozarks. St louis has a drag race track right accross the bridge 10 minutes from my house. But the ozarks has a brand new 3.8 mile long circuit track opening in the summer. Neither are very far from me. My car is honestly more set up for circuit track and I would probably be in a NASA tt2 or tt3 class for time trial racing depending. After many many instru tor courses and such of course. Idk though. Lots of thinking needed.

It finally hit double digit temps today so I took the time of warmth to head out and work on the car a bit. Got the harness in for the most part. I had extended and moved quite a bit but as it turns out not enough in regards to the map sensor. Gunna build a bracket or something cuz im not trying to put it back out and extend it. Being lazy. Also started routing my power wires. All I gotta do now is pull the injectors to get them cleaned, drain the fuel tank, fresh fuel, and try to start once more. This car is fighting me every second of the way.

Placed an order on a bunch of fabed parts. Boosted fab and next week archer fab. Also grabbing an ets intercooler while in at it. My intercooler piping is leaning agaist my reverse switch sensor and im uncomfortable with that so instead of buying the supplies to make my own piping, im paying archer fab to do it and getting rid of this ebay punishment racing intercooler.

I know @Boosted Fabrication and @Archer Fabrications appreciate it Will. Archer took a break from their vendor support here but they told me they plan to come back. The more you guys support our vendors the better.
I'd like to get at least one part from each vendor. And then with those parts I really enjoy it when the company puts their tag or emblem on it. Like boosten fab's BF or their name. Or archer fab's avengers "A". Id really like my car to essentially be a rolling advertisement for the little companies that keep the dsm name going.

It’s not an avengers A LOL it’s an AF with a bow and arrow :) limited to what I can say at the moment due to vendor status but appreciate all of you here! And will be back when the time is right
