Got my car today early in the morning, turned on the car and begin my day without any problems until I hit a stop sign, as I proceeded to make a right and start to accelerate just under of around 20 mph the car immediately shut off and Died. I Car has gas, the fuel pump is working, ignition coils are new, spark plugs are new, I also changed the cam sensor which came up on the OBD II, The car cranks but won’t start, I’m thinking maybe the coil pack has gone bad because when I start the car without the coils in the spark plug socket, there’s no current running through them, I need The masters of DSM

You know it's a no spark issue, so that's a good start. Could be a lot of tings, I'd check the power transistor. Does the check engine light come on when you turn the ignition on?
So I am not sure if the check engine light comes on only because anytime I had a problem with the car and would obd test it and have codes show up, the check engine light doesn’t come on, even when I turn the car on. Every other light comes on but the check engine light pre start up

It can also be a damaged crankshaft sensor due to crankwalk. To check it you have to remove the timing cover and have a look to see everything is still ok. I had the same problem but in my case was timing belt related. Hope this helps!

exactly yesterday I had gotten a clear transparent cam case which I put on the car, plus also today I replaced the camshaft position sensor on the left top side of the valve cover, I’m looking at the belt and have like one small tear in the middle but nothing crazy major where it’s like that the exact problem

Check the connector for your Ignition Power Transistor. Those connectors like to pop off for no apparent reason and shut the car off. Had it happen to me too many times to where I no wrap a tip-tie around them to it can't pop off.

Your CEL bulb could be blown, should check it to be sure.

The sensor i was telling you is monted in front of the crankshaft. You have to remove the lower timing belt cover to be able to see the sensor. If the crankshaft is moving to much then that sensor it will be damaged.

could that cause the car to crank but not start ??

Yes and it's a common thing among 2g's. To check that sensor is quite time consuming so maybe is better and faster, if you still have the Oem ECU, to use a tester checking for DTC.

I’m not sure what you mean about “having the stock ecu” it’s in the car, flashed with ceddy mods. I’m looking at the cams right now and the lower cam case looks like it has 3 bolts holding it in. I see the 1 in the front and the other in the back. I also saw one in the middle right next to the motor mount which is also a bolt to take the lower cover off???

I wanted to say with a flashed Ecu you might not be able to check for DTC with an OBD2 reader. Here is a picture with your timing cover. To remove the lower one first you have to remove the drive belts and the crankshaft pulley(4 bolts), then use something like a jack to hold the engine in place to remove the front engine mount. After this is just to remove the cover bolts and you gonna be able to see the lower part of the engine where the sensor is. Like i said if you can use a tester maybe it's better then to remove the cover. It will take you some time to get to that sensor and if that is not the problem then all your work was for nothing!

the crank sensor is your culprit! A crank sensor going bad will cause intermittent dying or a no start problem, the cam sensor will cause misfiring when bad but it will start at the least since they're a magnet it is probably bad and not reading the crank's position to fire properly this can happen on a 420a or 4g63, the crank sensor on a 420a is located just above the oil filter, and for the 4g63 its located outside at the crank beside the crank gear

Will look into it, I sent the car to the mechanic only because I couldn’t and didn’t have the tools to do it my self
