Here is a great video from the actual original owner of the green 2g from original the fast and furious, the guy actually explains that he knew that it was a 420a car and that was all that he could afford at the time, etc etc.very informative and very interesting, he is reunited and interviewed by Craig Lieberman of the Fast and Furious, the Supra belonged to Craig, he worked at Super Street magazine at the time, there is a ton of information in this short interview with never before seen personal pictures from the set by the guys, its definitely a must watch if your a fan.

I am a die hard Fast and Furious fan. Especially Two Fast Two Furious where my Mitsubishi was a star. Did you know that Roman Peirce`s Spyder Eclipse is a 2001 with a 2003 front bumper .You can find this information in the Official Fast And Furious Hand Book . I even bought the body kit they used in that movie but it sits on my balcony because it`s garbage. What did you guys think of that paint jobs. Personally I didn't like it . A little to wild for me..

I could have done with a different paint scheme too but it sure stands out in a crowd, huh? :)

NOPE!!! ROFLROFLROFL
But special effects made it a cool car!!! :)
I don't think I have EVER mentioned this, but I owned a 2001 Eclipse with a 4 cylinder and automatic. It was such a dog. Drunk/enraged driver ran me off the road and into a ditch where my son and I flipped and rolled the car, breaking my collar bone and totaling the car out. Threw the battery a good 30' further after we came to a stop. It couldn't get away from an old ford 4 door truck and that bastard looked right at us and pushed us off the road at highway speed. God was with us for sure! My sons V6 3rd gen ran GREAT tho.

Well praise God that you where not killed by that truck driver . I`m certain he was with you that day. My little Mitsy is no dog , that`s for sure . Waiting for the light to go green and this Pontiac SunFire pulls up beside me. It had this big scoop on it and lightning bolt graphics `s down the side. He keeps tapping the go pedal . Light turns green and I was gone.. So this guy follows me to Walmart to see whats under my hood . His Sunfire is a 2.2 L with 115hp . I don`t knock any man for their choice of vehicle but why would you install an over sized hood scoop and lightning bolts on a stock 2.2L Sunfire..I could understand if it was turbo charged ..Oh well.. to each their own i guess LOL

Super cool, never seen this before. Had two 2g's running around my town at the time this movie came out. One red one all done up like a F and F car and a super clean 99 gsx. Crazy enough this gsx now sits a block from my house, it broke the timing belt 10+ years ago and hasn't left the garage sense. 60k something miles 100% original car. Still trying to buy it off him to this day.

Thanks for the share! I really enjoyed watching that!
Man that takes me back...

I remember as a pre-teen first noticing the 2g Eclipses and Talons on the street. It became the first car I ever really liked. I didn't know squat about cars.

Then admittingly, after I saw the 1st movie in theaters (sophomore year of high school), I knew I had to have one.

DSMer for life :dsm::talon::cool:

My love for the Mitsubishi came by chance. A lady from my church had rips in 01 rag top and I mentioned I could fix it and she said she cant see spending any more money on the car. Then a week later she asked if I was interested in buying it. And there began my love story and my wallet became very thin for some reason.....LOL LOL LOL

2001, I had a brand new z24 cavalier... thought I was some quick guy... buddy had a 96 eclipse gsx t4 and life has definitely changed!

Craziest part of that whole video is his list of buying RS&GS cars for 12K a pop. I didnt buy my first Eclipse until the turbo cars were going for 3-5k and the NA cars were filling up pick and pull like cord wood. It is funny how you act like things last forever but times always change. Now seems like you don't even see a 2G listed for sale or driving around anymore.

Video had some cool info though the cable dragging the ground on the Eclipse during the racing scene always had me wondering what the hell it was for. Now we know it was for the dumbest move in tv car history where the bolt in floorboard falls out of the car.

There where a lot of odd ball things they did in that movie.. Did you see that crazy Nos set up.. There is no way any one in there right mind would set up a NOS kit like that...Every one thinks the car used in this movie is an 2003 but according to Chris Leiberman the gentleman responsible for the cars says it`s an 2001 Spyder with an 03 front clip .
