Make me a swirl pot please! I actually like the old autometer gauges better but everything still looks great.

Oh yeah, they're not Autometer. They look a lot like the old Autometers I used to have. I really like those.cheers guys!
Its funny that the original gauges are so ancient, they are actually Stewart Warner ..
Do what works man, logging the readings is important. Looks are secondaryI wanted to run all the Autometer Cobalt stuff to match my cluster, but the digital ones can be logged and more compact now days.. I might go back one day..
@JayRome I very much liked your old intercooler with the custom, swept end tanks. I'm interested in knowing a few details of the upgrade: was there a volume issue, core issue etc? Just curious as the sharp transitions seem less efficient to me, but I'm no intercooler expert.
Build threads like this are absolutely the best part of the internet.Been following this for 7-8 years. Literally my favorite build thread ever.
Yeah..... I started that then gave up on making it track worthy. Way to much designing and memories to possibly wreck it. Turned it back into a cruiser and put the sound deadening back in. Now its just for pure shits and giggles for designs i want to try out, pure fun now. That probably makes a huge difference. That location looks good and works well for what you were trying to do. Nicely done.
Back when I was planning out the location of everything it all revolved around handling and balance - so anything with any weight to it had to be placed rearward of the front wheels, preferably in the hatch area if possible to help with weight distribution, and as low to the ground as possible for center of gravity. Sound and comfort be damned Of course, that wasn't always possible, but it was always the first thought on everything. It's nice to not have that rule all the plans, in this situation for example.
Thanks mate.Maybe this has already been answered, but what do do you for "work"? Your fabrication skills are great!
