The bigger turbo needs to be rev out more to make power. A 6466 is a huge turbo man.

The 6870, what a beast! I cannot wait to get this thing on. Obligatory bucsh latte comparison photo. I guess I'll have to change the build thread title to "forward facing 6870" now LOL.

Also an update on the lexan; passenger window frame is just about done, lexan is cut and all 5000 holes drilled

Dropped the trans off to a local trans builder he is going to go through it just to make sure it is all good and weld the diff up and it will be ready for some action!

Picked up my intercooler and trans over the weekend. The local trans guru gave it a clean bill of health, welded the center diff and its ready for some action. As for the intercooler this is an issue.. When I built the tube front end it was meant for a 3.5" intercooler..not a 6" so I can either run it like this for now with no bumper or try to cut the front end off and redesign it to fit the 6" behind the bumper. I threw together some quick easy mounts to see if this was going to work or not. One option is potentially to use my stock bumper and just cut the every living crap out of it to make it fit LOL. Windows officially done, I picked up some rods with heim joint ends on them and they worked out perfect.

The light bulb went off in my head yesterday and it actually worked. I flipped the intercooler upside down and it fits along with the bumper and the best part is I didn't have to hack up my bumper to make this work! This is actually going to work out great because once I clock the turbo it will aim straight at the IC inlet. I couldn't resist and I had to mock up the new turbo to see how it would look LOL - did not dissapoint

In other news I made a life changing purchase a few months LOL... A GOLF CART!! This is amazing at the track and I wish I had done it sooner. However, its way too stock...I was browsing some website the other day shopping for wheels and tires for it and came across these! I found miniature TE37's or what looks like te37's so you know I had to buy them!! Wheels, tires and a lift kit will be here tomorrow LOL as if I don't have enough crap to do before shootout lets add another!

Welp after the sad news of dsport cancelling the shootout I was pretty bummed, but then Kevin Jewer announced he will still be hosting his own version of the shootout! Lets go game on again!!

Well I'm sitting around tweedling my thumbs waiting for my motor to be done so might as well! LOL!

Of course It's going to be white with black what other color combo is there?! Sadly my shipment is delayed for the wheels, tires and lift kit they were supposed to be here yesterday :(

no update on the engine yet sadly... any day now it should be ready to be picked up. BUT I did get these photos sent to me of the crank! Butchered and knife edged, they shaved off 5 lbs!! This is done on a Wire EDM machine.

Golf cart update, its fully assembled and painted! The lift kit I ordered was on nation wide back order so I changed up the order. Instead of a 3" lift and 20" tires I'm now going to a 6" lift and 22" tires with the same wheels. Supposedly they either are already shipped out or are shipping out today.

I understand there are air to airs that can support a lot. Just for size constraints ect was my thought. But I do see you made it fit.

Welp had to throw in the towel, the block didn't get done at the machine shop until Friday. After taking two trips to Buschur Racing at some god awful hour in the night because we forgot stuff, myself and Mike (at buschur) Lester were up until about 3:30 am Friday night assembling the bottom end and ran into a thrust issue. Everything is going back to the machine shop today to get double checked. So, that SHOULD all be done for real this time today. Then either tonight or tomorrow night I'll head back out to get this thing done once and for all.

In other news, the golf cart is done minus a back seat! This turned into another nightmare.. Tuesday night I tore the suspension apart in the middle of my driveway to prep it for the new lift kit which was scheduled for delivery Wednesday. Come Wednesday my wheels and tires showed up but the lift kit never did! I called the place i ordered it from and they said it wont be shipping out for another 1-2 days. Meanwhile my golf cart is sitting on jack stands with no suspension on it and the next morning I was getting a new roof on my house and the roofers needed to put their dumpster right where my golf cart was. So we ended up driving to the nearest golf cart dealership which was like 40 miles away to pick up a lift kit LOL. This thing turned out baller!

I got $25 towards Fluidampr fund
dont judge me LOL

I am interested in the head gasket choice. The concept of the dual material design seems super interesting. Have you or Bushur used these before? Any thoughts on it?
No one I know personally has used one yet. They only were released to the US within the last year however people over seas have been using them on high power 4g stuff with great success. To my knowledge a lot of the high hp LS, GTR, 2J, RB cars use these SCE gaskets. Myself and Mike Lester are trying these out this year for science!

Awesome! Will definitely be following to see how it holds up.

Hey man I just wanted to say aside from how cool your car is LOL, your build is inspirational because you’ve been thru so many high’s and low’s with it but it just keeps coming back stronger than it was before, blown motor? That’s when MOST people part it out, but you’re like “other than that it was an awesome day at the track!” Lol, your the reason I’m LESS concerned about my own personal first “built” motor, because if s%&t happens you just fix it and move on!:hellyeah:

Thank you that means a lot to me! It's racing, sh!t happens, stuff breaks, fix it and move on!

It's innnnn! Couple things holding me up, OFH bolts seemed to have grown legs so hopefully this weekend I can pick a new set up. The turbo (as i figured) hits the upper core support so I will have to modify that some how, couple other miscellaneous stuff I need but by the end of this weekend I should be in really good shape to potentially start this thing!! The hard part is done, now its just a matter of bolting a bunch of crap together.
