i just bought a precision gen2 dual ball bearing 6266 turbo. i was looking to get the oil feed from the OFH and run a restricter and an inline filter. what restricter should i run. is it worthless for me to go through all that trouble? should i just go off of the head? should i still use a restricter from the head? so many question and i just cant find a strait answer.
thanks for any help in advance

The answer is not straightforward, that's why everyone is telling you different things. What works on another car might be totally wrong for yours. It's all about the pressure at the chra oil feed. You want it below 80ish psi at redline. If you have no balance shafts or piston oil squirters, have not ported the oil pump relief valve and you run your oil feed off the ofh, you'll probably have too much pressure, but you still won't know unless you measure it. Did you buy the turbo used? I may be mistaken as I've never ran one, but I thought PTE supplied a restrictor with the gen2 bb units?

I thought they did too Zach. If I were the OP, I would ask Precision.

Thanks Hiroshi. Always a man with the details! :thumb:

Guys , I have an non ported ofh, no balance shafts with oil squirters. I run the oil feed from the head to the turbo with nothing in between. The turbo is a pte 6266 dbb for the record. Turbo has been going strong for two years.

thank you all for the info guys. i have looked over the install recomendations and it says nothing of the ball bearing turbo and restrictors. i also have contacted presision twice but they havnt answered me. the turbo is new and does look to have a restrictor screwed i to the oil feed but i just dont know if its enough. and with precision not answering i thought maybe someone on here may have experience with the same turbo.

Your straight answer is here:

Perhaps you didn't run across my thread during your search because you spelled both "restrictor" and "Precision" incorrectly in your title. Search terms look for exact word/phrase/characters so I'll assume that's what happened as opposed to not actually searching.
that may be the reason all i know is i read all the info precision had and even went on a couple of honda forums because they had a similar turbo. either way thank you very much that was really informative and gives me my answer
