To make a long story short, getting a bonus at work August 1st and my boss gave me a choice.

$1000 gun - CZ Scorpion Evo 3
Or cash money for car parts

I use to be a pretty big gun collector and shot targets every weekend, but haven’t done that in about a year now.

I sold my mustang last November and was left without a daily driver, so I had a weekend to find me a daily driver to get back to work that Monday. Found the 97 GST on Facebook and previously owning a 3G I messaged the guy and told him I’d buy it. Anyways, I drove 5 1/2 hours and bought the car with not much knowledge of the car and only seeing a few pics of it. Turned out to be a great car as I drove it back 5 1/2 hours with 0 issues.

I live in a small town where about 15 years ago we would "cruise the strip” and if someone wanted we would go over by the water tower and run our cars, shake hands, and go back to cruising.

Now days they have put a stop to cruising the strip but we still have a few Honda’s and mustangs riding around waiting on someone to ask if they wanna stop by water tower road one more time. We use to have a drag strip here but it was costing the owners more to keep it open than they was making, so they shut it down but still own the land. They open the parking lot like once every 3 months and let ppl race in the parking lot, but only a handful show up and it’s usually the old timers with built American muscle or the newer teens with mommy and daddy bought mustangs.

I live 6 minutes away from work, so it’s not like I put a huge strain on my car and me and the wife have 3 kids so we usually drive her car if we go anywhere.

so what ya think? Guns or cars?

I have always been big into firearms. Own many and even built some of my own ARs. Guns do not go down in value much long as they are good brands.
Yeah, a gun is not gonna drop in value like a car. If anything, it's a better future investment. But I understand that you want to build your car at the same time. I'd take the gun though. If you like it, awesome. If not, sell it and THEN get car parts LOL

My answer would depend on whether you have an adequate amount of firearms currently or not. I'd recommend a concealed carry-able sidearm and a shotgun at a minimum. Be able to defend yourself and your family above all else. It's a crazy world out there, so much turmoil and people are being randomly attacked without provocation daily.

I'm personally shopping for another pistol and looking to put together my first custom AR. Most of what I have is better suited to hunting than personal defense. If you are already prepared though, I'd go for the cash for car parts for sure.
