So I had some diagnostic tests done on my car at school tonight and the only code that came up was the P0202 cyl 2 injector malfunction. Is this code related to the random misfire issue with doing the 6 bolt swap w/ 2g head? I ask this because when we removed the injector connectors cylinder by cylinder, the all acting the way they should when disconnected while engine is running. Yet the Verus scanner said cyl 2 was an open circuit? Any ideas?

We ohm'd each injector too and all were 2.75, except cyl 4 which was 2.70.

Well, it's been a month since I posted this with no replies.... Got my car back together and running again, with the CEL on now. I figured it was because of my bad ignition transistor, but since I was at the parts store, I had them scan the codes. Its the P0202 again. My injectors are ALL working properly just like when I had it tested at school. Including cyl 2 as the code is suggesting. Could my bad transistor be causing this code to pop up? I need answers this time please...

I don't remember if the injector resistors where checked or not, but the injectors were tested for resistance and with noid lights. I ended up replacing the CAS after all this and everything has been running fine. It starts every time, runs well and all. It's been running fine now for over a month with only one CEL which happened right after I accidentally pegged out the tach and the engine stumbled for a moment. Flashed a P0301. But I've had the battery disconnected while using my car at school for sensor testing involved with class. I had a Verus scanner hooked up to it on Thursday night and check for codes. There were none available. Not even in the pending section.

I am getting a p0202 and started a new thread but all 4 of my injectors are not spraying fuel.. so the ecu must not be picking up the other cylinders as of yet.. my car has had a no start condition for about a month I tried a new resistor box and new injectors MPI relays.. and even a different ECU.. I just pulled the entire wire harness looking for a short and cannot find a thing..

Hey I’m having the exact same code pop up(p0202) and I’m having no luck fixing it any help will be much appreciated LOL

Which engine is in it? I had a 6 bolt and the injectors were all fine, unlike what the code was indicating. I had a bad CAS and once I replaced it, the code never came back.

Yea I have a 6 bolt swapped 2g. Like I’ve switched injectors place(cylinder 2 to 3) and the code stayed at cylinder 2. Did you also have a hard time starting when the engine is cold?

My code stayed on the same cylinder as well. My car would randomly not start no matter hot, cold, first start of the day, drove for 2 hrs and turned it off and then wouldn't start. It was very intermittent and hard to isolate. I replaced almost all the sensors prior to breaking down and replacing the CAS. I had wanted to buy a new one for at the time, $500. One day I happened to find one in the salvage yard that was broken on both tabs the bolts go through, but bought it anyway. I could only have it bolted in one position because of that, but it was enough to make it work with the timing. It started flawlessly for a week before I was convinced it was good. I ended up swapping back to my old one and the intermittent no start returned. So I ended up buying a good, non-broken one from a member on here and it was go after that.
