So apparently the myth turned out to be true. Some Euro 2G DSMs did come with an EPROM ECU, which I never believed. However, this one is from a '95-'96 GS 4G63 N/A and it appears to only have the 3 connector slots for the ECU. My '97 Talon has a non-eprom 4 plug ECU and as far as I'm aware, all other US/Canada DSMs also have 4 plug ECUs. Additionally, the 2G Euro DSMs sometimes have an immobiliser which I am not quite sure how it would affect an ECU swap like this.
But from what I can see, the eprom chip is right there. Does anyone experienced enough know whether this 3 plug eprom ecu could be swapped into our cars and would an ecmlink chip be solderable right onto the existing eprom chip?
