I believe it is, now that I've had a chance to actually take a look into it.Is that the MPI relay just without a cover??
I will check that first then as soon as I get home...I will say in my defense, all the wiring that has been done to the car is from previous owne . And I'm fixing them as I go as needed. I know im not the greatest but, I feel I can do better then how some of this has been done that's for sure.Keep in mind that the Spal fan you have is their big daddy fan. It requires a heavy-duty relay and connector. Check out my build thread. I have the same fan. You probably overdid the wiring.
I would get the Spal connector which is like $15 and then buy another brand of relay. There's no way I would spend $125 on their relay kit. If you can't find a good relay, I can look up my part number. Thanks for following my build, a lot of nice stuff being added soon.I will check that first then as soon as I get home...I will say in my defense, all the wiring that has been done to the car is from previous owne . I have previously read your whole build thread, even subscribed to it, live what you been doing! But I'll go back through it and look for your fan setup
Thank you vegas
So when I got home started looking for the relay. But I really had no clue where to look and the one place I think it's at, is not where I looked first . But I looked closer and I actually have a mishimoto fan, and unfortunately no idea which one a.t.m as I'm pretty sure the numbers are facing the radiator....good news, I decided to unplug the a.c fan switch. When.i did I hooked everything up, and it fired right up, ran like it always has and fan turns on automatically at the normal temps. So I'm sure the problem lies in the relay as you suggested or a short along those wires, but at least its narrowed down. Either way thank you, I appreciate the help!I would get the Spal connector which is like $15 and then buy another brand of relay. There's no way I would spend $125 on their relay kit. I hope so, but it still worries me, I dont wnat to be driving to work and it not start , I have a 75 mile 1 way trip to work every day. I just want to enjoy it for the summer, with the plans of redoing alot of if not just all of the wiring and pulling the rest of the heat and a/c parts under the dash.Let's hope you accidentally moved the shorted wires and it never comes back.
