all of a sudden my warning lights that usually indicate alternator issues are acting funny. At light throttle the come on real dim... then as you increase they brighten up. Also my wideband cuts signal to the ecu when this happens but still functions by watching it. As soon as I let off no lights at all

Tested and im getting solid 14volts from the alternator. I assume a short is happening somewhere but for the life of me i cant see anything.

How are these lights triggered? Maybe there is a clue in that... or any idea what specifically I might need to look at?

Nothing is dropping.. its the weirdest thing... even link is showing 13.8v

Has to be a short triggering it. Are these lights a ground based warning system? Im thinking if they are Im getting voltage to them somehow triggering them to turn on falsely...

Idk of that a good idea or not. I’d verify that’s in fact the issue first
Of course ill check that first... i just upgraded turbos and gates so no more heat shield. If it is indeed the alternator ill relocate to take it out of the heat.

Test 1st though
