New member here, I picked up a 1990 Plymouth Laser RS 2.0 FWD non-turbo MT but it had extremely worn motor mounts, I posted before/after pictures below. You can really see how deformed the old ones were.

Here's what I purchased:
Front - Anchor 8103
Passenger - Anchor 8686
Rear - Anchor 8104
Driver - Prothane 13-503

I have cross-checked this with my '90-94 Eagle Talon catalog' and these all seem like the correct parts. However, in first gear I still have vibrations about 25% the intensity as before. During installation, all of the pieces didn't fit together perfectly, I had to use longer bolts on the driver's side to keep it aligned while I did the other three mounts. At the end I force-tightened everything down. Unfortunately my front motor mount isn't centered and I think the remaining vibrations are because the front motor mount is rubbing on the side.

Has anybody experienced anything similar? Does anything look blatantly wrong from my pictures? Should I put more miles on them? I can take more pictures during the day but the passenger/rear motor mounts look centered. My assumption is that as the old motor mounts deteriorated, things got bent. I could try going poly in the front (if I can even get it bolted down) but I really don't want the extra vibrations - I only did the driver's side poly because it was significantly cheaper. Thanks in advance.

I checked with Rockauto and the part numbers match with the 1990 Lazer and 1990 Talon . It looks like the mounting hole on the new mount in the first picture is larger than the original .Is it possible that the front mount is installed backwards .In the last picture it looks to me that you could gain some clearance if you reverse the mount..

So the right and left mounts went together ok, and now the front one doesn’t line up? Hard to imagine that the beefy steel mounting points bent that much due to the old worn mounts.

I agree about the price of the factory-style driver’s side mount. I discovered mine was shot (see photos) when I attempted to get a better look at a new coolant leak (don’t get me started). Hard to even find a replacement, which is Anchor 9602 for a 2.0 L. Ordered from Summit for $125. The OEM appears available from Japan (Amayama) for only $110, but shipping from Asia is essentially on hold until commercial airline service gets closer to normal.

I have found that replacement parts are not always the cure I want them to be, as in your case at the moment. Is there a way to enlarge the bolt holes enough?

If assuming you purchased and received the correct mounts. You may have a turbo fwd or awd front or/and rear bracket.
Make sure if you have a 345 front bracket, a 193 or 926 rear bracket and a 826 or 093 driver's side bracket like the pics below.
In the last pic, the left one is Non-turbo, the right one is Turbo. You can see that the turbo bracket flange position is a bit higher and the angle is different. So if you have turbo front/rear brackets with a non-turbo driver's side bracket, the engine position would be a bit higher than the stock non-turbo position. You can tighten the driver's side mounts bolts to fit but the front and rear mount would die quickly. Maybe that's what happened to you before.

Noticeably absent from Rock Auto (which I do occasionally order from) is the d/s mount. The one for the 1.8L is only around $40, and not sure why the 2.0L mount is now so rare and pricey.

Great point by DSMPT, that just because the bracket is in the car, that it is the proper bracket. Previous owners may have mettled.
I did find some evidence that Slapshot36227 may be onto something with the orientation of the front mount; at least the OEM part has a little hole to mark the correct installation direction. Did yours have this small hole?

I noticed that too. I bought the polyurethane inserts for the driver side anchor and transmission mount and I HATE it. At the time I thought they absorbed the vibration but really they just redirect it to the cockpit so that the engine supposedly has better response. I'm trying to go back to OEM mounts but like Mech Addict said, they are become rare and cost more.I already have the anchor but I only need to find the insert mount for it. I'm NOT a fan of the poly-mounts.
