I have never and would never order from them based on their behaviors/attitudes in the past at the shootout, as far as whats going on there now, I couldn't say but there were times that it has been this way from them before, I had heard that there where internal relationship issues last time that was the cause, its anyone's guess at this point, Extreme Psi gets my Mitsu money.
I used to have that "good company" in my srt4 days modernperformance always did right by me. I'll check out extreme psi, I'm trying to update some of my ancient relic parts LOL.

Yeah I always called my orders in back then. So what's it going be this week Jeff? They added a few new vehicles to the sight like the dart. They even told you not to buy certain parts until you have some others or you would get no gains. They were very honest and helpful.

I hung out with them at times at the shooutout and they seemed to be pretty straight up guys.

I recently placed an order with STM and there are ZERO updates to it. I have called and emailed them multiple times. This is no way to do business. I do not know even how I can cancel the order at this point. Anyone here have any insight for me on this?

I contacted my bank and let them know. Got a refund later in the day

STM has definitely been dealing with staffing and inventory issues due to COVID. Gotta keep in mind, they're located in NY, the hardest hit state with a governor that would rather sit on CNN with his brother and blame everyone else for the states issues, than to get the state economy back up and running.

Add to that the fact that suppliers had to shut down their manufacturing (ARP specifically had to shut down), and the massive influx of orders that came in to automotive parts vendors while everyone was laid off and had nothing but time on their hands to work on project cars.. and it's a perfect storm of order backlogs and angry (mostly impatient) customers.

Both of my orders to STM in the past month have been delayed.. but the parts still eventually showed up.

Thats really not an excuse for ignoring your customers and shoddy/shady service, especially when other companies are delivering product and answering phone calls when they can't.

Never said it was an excuse for lack of communication. Just wanted to shine some light on what's going on over there based on the communication I was able to get out of them after a 3 week delay on some ARP manifold to turbo bolts.

I get that NY was hit hard but 4 days without reaching out is unacceptable. Customers drive businesses and you have to communicate with them whether or not you want to. If they’re having internal issues, they need to figure it out.

My block is at the machine shop taking up space and I kinda feel bad about it. To me, it doesn’t matter how long it take since I’m not in any rush. I can’t wait for them as it’s not fair for the machine shop. Placed the order elsewhere. They shipped today and it’s scheduled for delivery Tuesday.

Really hope stm figures it out.

I ordered my exhaust from them and it shipped next day, I reached out to Cory on Facebook first to make him aware I was ordering it. However, VRSF has gone ghost, shipped my intercooler kit out and then when I made them aware it came damaged, nothing, not even an acknowledgement of the 3 e-mails, 4 phone calls or even Fedex's attempt to contact them. Getting very frustrated, going to have to do a chargeback myself.

Buddy has been waiting few weeks on some coil overs from STM. Zero response from them. I myself have had great luck with Maperformance and extremepsi. MA even once sent us wrong main bearings and when we called they overnighted is the correct bearings.

I have the same issue, I order something Saturday morning or night and I’m supposed to be getting it today, I also ordered more stuff Sunday night, it says it processed but no shipping information.

Kinda sucks to hear all this. I really like STM. They’ve always shipped things over really quickly and have had descent prices too. I haven’t tried ordering anything during the pandemic tho... I hope they figure this out.

Agreed. I heard they unplugged their phone lines to avoid dealing with it. That's just unacceptable. I gave up on them years ago, these aren't new issues. Using the pandemic as the excuse is just that.....an excuse. I've made 7+ orders to extremepsi during the past 3 months and had zero issues.

Let's avoid posting hearsay if we can. I hate seeing rumors getting spread based on what people have heard.

Either way, we've seen a lot of people having issues. Hope to see STM get things sorted soon if they're short staffed or having distributor problems.

Modernperformance was a good company and I think that they are still around right? MAP?
Yes, they still are a good company. I've been doing a business with them more than 10 years and still keeping in touch with them almost every week. It's just they don't have many DSM parts in stock now, not like Extreme PSI. So some orders could take some time to ship out or would be drop-shipped, too, just like STM. But communications with MAP is always good.

And actually MAP carry STM products, so in case if someone wants to order STM's original products, it can be ordered through MAP.

A month or so ago I was in a crunch to get my car together and damaged a head stud installing it, so i paid the 25 or whatever dollars to overnight another set. Seeing now that there was supplier issues, although that was never communicated to me, actually nothing was ever communicated to me, by stm. After a week and a half, they showed up, but no phone calls got through, they only went to voicemail, no emails answered, facebook messenger said they weren't using that method of communication anymore. I gave up and ordered a set from extreme and they showed up the next day. So if anyone needs some head studs for a 7 bolt, I have a set bnib!
Just a horrible way to do business. They have a kid doing clean up on facebook who will call you if you complain on there, but at that point, it's just too late. It seems everyone is giving them the benefit of the doubt and trying to reach out to them first, but the complete disregard of customer communcation is a little off the wall if you ask me.

I had a similar issue. Ordered a wally 255 from extreme psi, within the day they sent an email saying they didn't have it in stock. Ordered from STM and heard nothing for a whole week. Called and emailed multiple times to cancel the order as obviously they don't have it either or can't be bothered. It showed up anyways and now I have two.

I would like to add to my comment above, that despite what's going on with the company right now, they make some of the finest parts available. I have their exhaust and its an amazing piece of work. Kudos to their fabricators.
