I've been getting a lot of miscellaneous stuff done on my car while waiting for the short block to come back. Got both door handles working on the passenger side, put the interior back together, installed a new shifter, painted a bunch of stuff, two new rack and pinion bellows, a CV boot, and power steering cooler are all installed. I'm finally getting to a point that I can't really do much else without a block LOL.

Joined the engine/trans, installed them and bolted a bunch of other stuff together on this 91.

Where did you attach the chain? Near the cas?

@Craig13 pretty much in the same situation. Block is at machine shop and I’ve been cleaning up parts that are off. Omg the front case is such a B to clean.

All the small little nooks and crannies!!! I spent about two hours yesterday cleaning my throttle body. Man was it nasty. Lots of Q-tips haha
I haven't made it to the front cover yet but it will be coming shortly.

Spend the time now and you’ll be happy when it’s all together. Yeah getting the gasket material off sucked. 3 new razors and I still couldn’t get everything off. I didn’t want to take it to the brass wire wheel but I eventually did. Tested on a non gasket surface area first and it was fine.

Tony, I see your oil squirters. Have STM or ExtremePSI send you 8 new aluminum crush washers.
I have the part# at home, and the washers if you need them before you can get them. I think I ordered 32, since each 6 bolt takes 8. I took ONE BRAID of copper braided wire and ran it thru each squirter to make sure they were clean. One of mine had a blockage but I got it cleared that way. I sprayed Brake Parts cleaner thru them and one was a lot less flow than the rest so I cleaned them all out that way. Don't forget to clean out the dead end crank journals, that will be a couple hours of well spent time!

I cleaned them out with brake cleaner and they all seemed fine but that’s not a bad ideas. I’ll clean them out and add new washers. Thanks pops:thumb:

If they all sprayed fine then you are good T.
MF660034 for the crush washers. :)
I have 8 left. They are 30-40 cents each or so.

They’re free flowing so I should be good. Omg that is the cheapest thing ever. They’ll be free with my bonus on extremepsi

Yeah, when's the last time you bought an OEM DSM part for less than a dollar?:hmm:
And FREE is always good! :thumb:

Had to put an trans temp gauge in and hate pillar pods anymore. Not the best cut job but I have no patience for this kinda tedious work.

I tried to get it smogged today... drove a long ways to the shop but their computer was broken. So I bought some tacos from the street vendor across the street, had an ice cold Coke and thename home installed new front sway bar endlinks! What a pain.....

Found why I was getting AFRatioEst spikes to 15000:1.. piss-poor 5v and ground connections for MAP sensor to ECU harness. Have to credit Dave for an old thread he had on ecmtuning's forums that pointed me in the direction of maybe the connection isn't so solid after a number of years and many, many hours of vibrations. Serves me right for the "temporary" fix of using a wire-tap connector 6 years ago and then forgetting that I did.

Definitely reduced my rear-end squat but can still blow the tires off without trouble. Scares the ricers and I don't even need to exceed the local speed limits.

Wrong area to post it LOL. Try part out section and post a wtb. Try performancepartout.com too

Getting the 1g ready for tuning next week. Today I just did a compression test, and tried to do a BLT but my diy tester had some leaks so I put silicon on it, and will retry tomorrow.
Other than that, I put a 3 core radiator last week. :hellyeah:

I would love to come down to Yukon sometime and cruise our DSM's Tony! I pulled the A/C out or I would have been in OKC around Memorial Day visiting Josh Wilson and teasing him about his Ford.
Hope to meet you sometime!
Marty

I wish that E85 was more available in my area. Jealous..
I had to drive my 87 Toyota Wagon 100 miles, ONE WAY, to refill the 4 - 5 gallon cans. (If you have ran on E then you understand my determination)
I have 2 55 gallon drums that I need to take but am trying to figure out how to unload 400+ lbs of fuel safely to the shop floor. :idontknow: :aha:
I filled the car up so full that E was running out of the filler neck just so I could empty the last 5 gallon container.
