As my children are entering adulthood (youngest is nearly 18) my oldest (21) decided to surprise me. He has always been a little more tech savvy than the rest of the family. Well he showed up with the project he had been secretly working on. A raspberry pi with 7" display. He did all the legwork himself and it's up and running solely to run ecmlink in my car. The car is quickly approaching driveability again so he wanted to help. Best father's day ever.

That's pretty damn cool. Happy for you Paul.

Would it be possible to get a little instruction from your son about how he went about that. I work with computers, so I don't need the beginner's guide. Only the main steps.

PM me if so. Thanks in advance!

Also happy belated father's day!

Not to steal from Paul's post, but I found out about a week ago I will be a father (or am one already, technically) come next February. Best present I've ever gotten, of my life, thus far. I'm both excited and terrified haha.

But I do love the raspberry pi stuff your son is into @pauleyman ! Got some good kids under your wing there my dude :thumb:

Unless you're dead set on doing this yourself check out this. My son didn't know this existed but even so I dont need this and I'm super happy with what my son did John did a lot of work to make a robust and very nice product.
