Hi. Per the video. After my recent (couple weeks ago) VRSF FMIC install. I am getting this stuttering and power loss that sounds like a trumpet. It occurs at virtually any RPM, over a quart throttle, and between 5-10l+bs PSI. WOT just exacerbates the power loss.

As soon as I upload this thread. I’m immediately heading into my garage to perform a boost leak test. But I wondered if anyone has had this type of power loss and hear this sound before and what caused it?
I’m always glad to do the research & work but like Scooby Doo I’m always looking for clues. TIA...

Possible misfire. If it doesn't flag a code look at spark plug boots. Look for a white dot.
Thanks. I did a quick spray water test on the spark plug wires and ran the car in the dark and was getting a small spark on the #3 wire near boot top. Otherwise Plug boots looked good. NGK wires are only few years (10k miles) old.
Boost leak test revealed no major leaking @ 15-20psi
Plugs are 2000 mile old NGK BPR7es gapped to .28. I usually run 14-15 psi. No CELs either.
I’m thinking wires need to be replaced - just going to keep moving through the process of elimination.

Not sure if I found a typo or not. I'll assume I did.

Wait a minute. Okay Just pulled a plug. They are all BPR7es. So I’m trying to knock the rust of my DSM brain. They should be BR7es? I’ll look in to it - but I’m presuming I got the wrong plugs in there...

Resolved. My NGK spark plug wires had a lifetime warranty so I had them replaced under warranty at autozone. Changed out the wires. Stuttering / Misfire now completely gone - pulls like a champ!
Thanks again for the help. Sometimes can't see the forest for the trees (probably using that wrong) but you know what I mean.
