Somehow I have in my possessioon a 12 year old bottle of Glen Livet Scotch. I acquired the bottle in 1988. If I recall scotch no longer ages in the bottle. Can somebody comment on this thing? Good? Bad?
I've had it so long I figured it will just sit. It's survived 8 moves and one tornado. Good luck maybe??? .

As far as I know they don't improve with age once bottled but as long as they're sealed they don't degrade either so it would be fine to consume.

After checking the internet, it seems that it's now poison and you should send it on to me for safe disposal.....

It has now become a kind of weird story for my adult children and one of them will probably end up with it so they can tell the story. When a tornado took my house I found this bottle again lying in the backyard. I promptly picked up another bottle laying about and drank some of it...this was probably at about 3 hours elapsed from site destruction. Seemed appropriate at the time. Crown royal if i recall

I probably would have titled the thread, "Great Scot(ch)!".

I may be on the other side of the coin here - perhaps the reason you've moved 8 times and been through a tornado is because you still have this bottle... I say get rid of the bad ju-ju and drink that sucker!

To be fair the first 6 moves were all in my 20s and I guess thats just what you do in your 20s.
And the tornado???? I'm better off now and as a bonus I have very little clutter. I did lose a lot of rare dsm stuff though
