if I can get a recommendation for a motor. I have a 1994 Eclipse RS automatic with non-turbo motor and failed timing belt. It is a 2 wd and the auto transmission is decent. Not sure if any damage to valves or pistons. I’d like to get more performance. I was thinking of dropping in a 4g63 turbo motor if I can find one. Do I need to swap the transmission as well as computer and wiring? Or should I just tear apart the motor I have and get it running? Thanks.

You weren't clear and dont have a profile. Is this a 1.8 or 2.0? 1.8 is non interference. Put a belt on it and drive. 2.0 is different. Which do you have and what is your mechanical skill level?
