So i unknowingly bought a buschur racing fp3065. My question is, I should be able to just get someone to cut the wastegate flange and weld it back to the original spot right? That's the only thing i need to worry about to run this? Aside from the other missing components to mount and such. I don't plan on doing it this moment. Since finding out about these turbo's i've always just kept an eye out and figured i'd switch over eventually.

I dont see why not, as long as the exhaust gas stays in the housing it will work so long as it doesn't leak. If you run that pipe straight to right measure how much room you need for length fitment it should work well. Only problem is all that hot gas is going to heat soak radiator and front of the engine. Mine runs to the bottom and angled away from the oil pan to prevent increasing oil temp while running it hard.

Getting it cut and rewelded is all you need to do (besides getting all the supporting mods to properly use the turbo obviously). I just had my housing sent out for surgery for flange work as well. I sent it to Morrison Fabrications (Dsmtuners supporting vendor) as they do fantastic work. They also sell a o2 housing specifically for the FP turbine housings which was the icing on the cake. Here is the housing I sent them originally:

After they welded on my turbine outlet flange I was informed that my wastegate flange was warped. (They even sent pictures showing me how bad it was OMG) So that flange was chopped off for a brand new Tial flange.

Here is a link to Morrison Fabrications FP o2 housing:

FP still sells their o2 housings for the turbine housings on their site as well:

You can of course get your own stuff fabbed up but I was just stating my experience and showing options. You’ll definitely be happy with that turbo as well.

The way you did your piping is very impressive, and it looks really good.

Wow, thanks 007jimmy, This is just the answer I was looking for. Yeah i've seen their work. It's very nice. I'm gonna work my way towards installing this thing next. Appreciate it!

Acquire MV-R 44mm wastegate flange...cut the existing flange off at the first weld nearest the housing, weld the 44mm flange in it's place and you're set.

The housings could once be acquired without the flanges:

...so Buschur likely just welded the extension on to place the wastegate flange somewhere more-accessible when adapting the DSM 3065 turbo to fit an Evo:
