2g 7 bolt head/6bolt block..

Ok so the oem stud I ordered for ofh is too long and not sure what ofh I have so can anyone chime in on what I'm missing here? On my spare 2g 7 bolt, I know that it has the big sandwich looking thing in between the ofh and oil filter stud itself but I won't be needing the water lines for it

You got the right part. They dont make a shorter one. If youre looking to delete the cooler you'll either have to modify the stock to be shorter or buy a non turbo oil filter housing.

Honestly I would just bolt the oil cooler on. You dont need to install the lines.

The point is, it's the right part but you are putting it in a wrong way. The longer side would be in the OFH and the shorter side would be in the oil filter.

Thanks Hiroshi. I was gonna point that out if you hadn't chimed in. :thumb:
I run mine like Alan said, no lines. Put a new seal on the sandwich and put some light threadlocker on it when you put it together.

You could run something like this if you could find one. I think they came on Mighty Max's.

You can also run a non-turbo 1g oil filter housing that will face it the same way as you have the current one, just with a short threaded portion. They're built into the N/T ones.

Thanks Henry!
You don't happen to know a part # do you?

You could use the sandwich plate, I'd replace the o-ring seal. You may be able to reuse the gasket if you can get it off in one piece and it doesn't get tore up. Copper spray is your friend if the gasket keeps it's integrity.

Agreed.
But for reference:
Simply way to gain some Downpipe clearance
oil filter housing and Forward Facing Oil Filter Housing [Merged 10-8] (these two would go together)

Thanks Henry!

oil filter housing cross reference

i have this same issue. i have a 7 bolt but the ofh that i had on before it cracked doesnt match up with any of the others i think its the non turbo ofh since it has no coolant line ports or anything the bolt distance on the two bottom bolt holes is also a tad bit shorter in distance than the 7 bolt 4g63. im having a hard time finding this one
