Was sold to me as a real b&m, pretty sure I got bamboozled folks. It looked real enough when I bought it, now that I'm looking at known b&m photos I'm thinking otherwise. Not that there are a ton of pictures of the product anyway LOL. I'm getting annoying with people being scum bags selling DSM stuff and not being honest.

I'm not even sure if it's worth trying to install, I probably will just to see the tolerances and the throw distance (it seems like it is a 50%?)

Yeah, you got screwed by a dishonest idiot. This is a real B&M shifter that I have in my car. Your blue piece, although similar, is still the wrong shape. All the proportions are off.

I've had two of these shifters now. First one I bought new back in '08. My current one I got lucky to find used for $100. Obviously took it. It now moves from car to car with me.

What a shame. I bought this without doing my research, I had only heard the b&m short shifters were the thing to have and that they were rare so I did a quick Google and jumped on it without looking into it like I should.

Oh well LOL you live and you learn.

Another picture of a real one. I bought this 15 years ago when you could still get them new.

I'm digging that eagle talon shift knob!

Thanks that has been with me for a long time as well even though it has been in a eclipse for the last several years. The wife bought it for me one Christmas from RTM racing I believe. It’s a heavy great quality shift knob for sure.

It looks good man, your wife sounds awesome haha. Mine got me a bunch of goodies the past 6 months, all tool related because she's too scared to get a car part for my talon thinking she's gonna get something that won't fit or I won't like haha.

The knob on my fake b&m is supposed to be a greddy weighted, should have snapped pics of that as well. Looks slightly sun faded but nice and heavy. I'll probably just keep everything stock shift wise on the talon for now, it has more pressing matters to be dealt with haha.

you could shorten the stock shifter, it might have a longer throw than an after market but it way better than a full length stock one.
Save the knock off so if you ever track down the guy that sold it to you, you can knock him upside the head with it.
