Other than sourcing a used one, is there anywhere to buy an intermediate shaft for a 1G/2Ga M/T DSM? Obviously axles can be found rather easily, but that half-shaft seems to be nearly impossible to source (again, other than on the used market.. though even that is pretty scarce..)

Looks like Amayama has one. Occasionally I ordered parts from them and am later told they’re actually out of stock/production, but I’d say they send my parts about 80%+. Was it just the shaft you needed, because they have associated parts too. The bearing and seals can wear, of course, even though there is virtually no load on them (the force is nearly pure torque, with no thrust or radial).

I've also ordered from them in the past and ended up getting what I needed, it's worth a shot!
The bearings can usually be had fairly easy, snap rings for them are another story.

I've only had one intermediate axle with a bad bearing, it was for a Mazda and it was easy to find and change. Oil soak killed the seal and it got all manner of dirt/debris in there.
