Trying to reassemble my front knuckle (90 gsx). New bearing went in fine. Hub rotated nicely until the last bit of install and is now very stiff. Not like bearing binding, and now thinking seal is backwards. Checked the Timken catalog, and conformed correct part # on box. Per the photo of same seal below, I had the lip pointed toward hub. Was it supposed to go toward the bearing? Didn’t seem like there was enough room, but never done one of these.
You may now laugh at my expense.
 
When I did mine, I noticed a collar was stuck on both my axle. I'm guessing it was from the stock seals. The flat part of the seal should face outwards and there is an outer & inner seal per side.

No, the post you replied to. It’s a copy of mine from 4/18. I reported it.

It must be either a person of questionable judgement, or a robot.
