CXRacing $300 Manifold fits like a glove. Manifold bolts on like stock. All nuts\bolts are easy to get to. Punishment racing recirculated O2 is millimeters close to alternator. Megan down pipe bolts up and I can use the stock down pipe bracket to hold the turbo and O2 in place. Helps keep weight off manifold. Manifold looks good as is, but I plan on sealing it with DEI header coat and wrapping in Titanium exhaust wrap with "Lava Rock Technology" LOL. HX40 mounted with Bep 55 AR housing. Only a little clearancing was need on the water pipe. Clears front motor mount easy. Comp outlet lines up with VRSF intercooler. Going to use a modified stock oil drain.

Space....the final frontier....these are the voyages of.... LOL Slim fan on driver side mounted inside stock shroud. I did have to cut some of the ribbing out of the fan because of the recirculated O2. I do have a thicker radiator.

Installed an HX40 this time along with the BEP bolt on housing, FP manifold and (what's seems to be a) PR dumped o2 housing on my second 2g.

Holset assembly number: 4036429

Does not fit without a decent amount of block grinding, grinding to the shifter linkage on the tranny (part that goes up and down) and barely clears the lower rad hose. The longer snout on this one is the main problem. There's barely enough room for an FP intake pipe and the long k&n filter. The placement of my meth nozzle doesn't help the situation at all either, being right underneath the air filter.

Although, it does have a sensor which looks like an AIT sensor just before the turbo inlet which I hope I can find a pig tail for and find a way to log it in link (setup the voltages and whatnot)

Also want to note that my BEP housing's bolt holes for the manifold to turbo weren't fully tapped and the holes weren't even drilled through fully. Had to pay a local machine shop to finish the work. Emailed BEP about this and going to see what they say. Just letting everyone know to check theirs before install as the housing I bought for my previous cars HX35 was perfectly fine.

I will paint the pvc pipes with DEI silicone spray.......same stuff u use on headers. With the pipes being right in front of the fan, I doubt heat with melt them. My manifold and down pipe are wrapped also.

Think this Godspeed cast t3 manifold would hold up my hx40 in a t3 bep housing for a year or so on my 1g?

Currently running a mitsu bep on my hx40. With evo 3 mani and punishment o2. Had to dent the water pipe about 1/8".

This is just to get by on, till my cousin starts fabricating Dsm manifolds.

Bump is there any twinscroll manifolds out there that fit holset hx35 or 40 ?
Iam guessing RedJack, JHracing and Punishment Racing ts manifolds have been discontinued....

Old thread, BUT.....I read thru the whole thing and didn't see where anyone mentioned using one of THESE adapters to mount their twin-scroll Holset on a cast Evo 8/9 factory or FP manifold, thus maintaining the separate flow paths. :idontknow:

Another view below, shows its' "wedge shape" that would tilt the turbo away from the engine. With no personal experience, I'm not sure if such an orientation would help or hinder fitment:

The evo 8 and 9 exhaust manifolds bolt to the head but the turbo would end up towards the driver side and no room to run the downpipe while keeping alternator power steering and ac.

I wanted to compile a list of known working manifolds for the hx35 hx40 and similiar turbos since a lot end up hitting the water pipe and such.

List your exhaust manifold,https://snaptube.cam/https://9apps.cam/ what turbo housing your using with it and if you're using any spacers and what kind of clearance you have.
I'll go first
hx40
obx r manifold -yep the cheapest imatation works fine
bep .55 housing
no spacers
plenty of clearance between the turbo and water pipe (like 1.25")
no driver side fan, no room for it

Morrison Fab Twin Scroll T3 with 12cm non-wastegated oem holset housing on an Hx35. No contact with the water pipe. I am able to run a Mishimoto X Line rad with the shroud and a thin Spal. It's tight, but it works.

@MorrisonFab small tube T3 bottom mount with an HX40. No waterpipe interference and perfect fit!
It's a work of art. Mitsumoto X with 1 puller and 1 pusher (on drivers side) but I suppose it would fit on the inside.

Cheap CX Racing T3 manifold with my HX40 BEP T3 .70 housing (2nd manifold due to 1st one cracked, I don't recommend) but made 506hp couple of years ago.
Only have a slim fan on passenger side, small dent on waterpipe.

I run a redjack racing manifold with my hx35 and a 12cm2 non WG housing. Tons of water pipe clearance with no spacers needed. Standard mishimoto radiator with pusher fans. Could probably squeeze a X line radiator in there if I had better designed dump tubes for my WG’s.

(edit) I just seen the gvr-4 tag on the post. I have a 2g so I’m not sure if this is the info you are looking for.

HX35
FP Racing manifold
Kevlar manifold shroud
BEP .55 housing
mishimoto slim fan pass. side
DEI gold wrap on water pipe

Only did a test fit but seems to have cleared- lil' snug

I have no idea why you copied the original post word-for-word from a thread of the exact same topic title that was 11 years old, but I merged them.
