Car is 99 gsx. Long story short the wiring that leads to my ecu plugs have been hacked up horribly bad from various owners and past piggy back/gauge wiring. I've owned the car for years and have finally got around to cleaning things up. I discovered my wideband data logging ground had been wired into a random black wire that did not lead to the ecu. I have owned several dsm and always wire mine to pin 92 sensor ground. That leads me to wonder where this wire came from as its not been cut off from the ecu plugs. I found a cut black wire that is connected to the shielded wires that are contained in the green sleeved wiring harness. I suspect this is where that wire was cut from. Anyone know about the cut wire I have pressed against my middle finger in the pic? It is connected to two shielded wires. Does it go to pin 92 or back into the harness? Also, the shielding for my knock sensor is not connected to anything I suspect it was once crimped into the bundle of wires that go to pin 92 correct?
