Hey guys, fairly new to the DSM community. Recently got a 97 Eclipse automatic (unfortunately LOL) last summer. I was wondering if the evo8 stock Enkei rims would fit on the eclipse? Has anyone ever swapped those out? Thanks for reading!

Yup! Thanks!! Just found out thru fitment industries. Researched thru their site and saw that it has the same specs and offsets. Yeah I follow Miguel also. Cool! Thanks for the reply!! Yeah not slamming it to the ground LOL.

Oh wow! That’s pretty cool that you live near FI. Yeah after seeing his build. I’d want to Evo swap mine too LOLoo. But def would be a harder build from auto to manual LOL. wonder if that’s been done before?

It might be possible, idk why it wouldn't. It would take some fabrication, you are already gutting the car and relocating a tranny mount so..... I'm hoping to buy an rs or gs soon so I can start the swap, but we all know plans never go according to how we want them to.....especially for a dsm:cry:

The EVO 8 Enkei wheels are literally the top 3 most common wheel swaps on a 1G/2G. They are actually quite light for their size (17x8"), and have enough offset (+38) to allow you to run Brembo or 3kGT calipers. They also allow you to run a 225/45 or 225/50 tire which in my opinion is one of the more balanced options as far as tires go.

Evo 8 Enkeis on a 2G are excellent. I highly recommend you go that route. I run 245/40s on mine and they fit perfect. And as mentioned above, they clear the 3KGT front calipers perfectly.

Love the color choice
Thanks! They actually came like that on my 1G when I bought it. So for any 1G guys viewing this thread, the Evo 8s fit your car just as well.
