Looking for anyone that has had any experience with the Areomotive Eliminator fuel pump.

I will be running the Vamos 2g fuel cell with two -10 an fittings running to a -12 Y.

12 Y / -12 line / pre filter / pump / post filter / -10 line to the rail.

My question is what size return would be adequate for my system. The return fitting on the fuel cell is -8. I would like to run -8 as regulators are easier and of course cheaper to find. However; I have found conflicting diagrams from Aeromotive on what size to run. The install papers that came with pump state -10 and another online says -8. All diagrams show dual rails and obviously I will only be running one.

Right now running FIC 950's on pump 93. This setup is overkill for now, but I will be running e85 in the future.

Also it states the a pump controller is recommended when running the eliminator on street. Has anyone had experience with this or know of an alternative to Areomotives $300.00 + option?

Thats a fricking huge pump! Like way over kill for your given needs at any one time LOL.

Here is what i would do. I just built my tank and will be running dual DW350IL pumps so its also overkill for my goals but its still along the same lines,

10AN from tank to filters then to 10AN/12orb inlet pump.
10orb/8AN outlet pump to the rail. If you wish a second filter thats ok but 1 is normally more then enough because your dual draws are inline not parallel.

8AN feed is more then enough for anyone. If your shooting for 1000hp 8is still fine but by then you will need dual rails and 8 injectors to keep up then you will need dual everything.

6AN return will keep pressures at bay. You really wont be working that pump to its max so its a nice easy task for its job.

Whats the actual goals of the car? And useage for the car? Circuit racing? Drag? Street

I’ve run the a1000, which is a step down from the eliminator but shares the same body I believe, being fed from a Walbro 255. A -6 return is more than adequate but it sounds like for ease of instal a -8 would require less plumbing. As for the pump controller you could always add a simple oil cooler to help keep the fuel cool. Not saying it’ll keep the pump from overworking itself but it’ll help some.

All-in-all a significantly simpler setup would have been an in-tank Walbro 535 till you ran out of fuel then add an in-line later down the road. The eliminator is really not designed for street driven cars.

my magnafuel mp-4303 gives me no issues with running -6 but to be safe id run -8 it never hurts to have more return line. as far as the pump controller unless youre running a high dollar stand alone that has voltage control for the pump the aeromotive unit is all that ive seen. thats the biggest reason why i steered away from the aeromotive pumps.

Eliminator, overkill for sure; however, I could not pass up the deal the got.. $150.00.

@ec17pse - The purpose for the car as it sits now is just street driven and test and tune at the local drag strip.

@jakelandry - The reason I did not go with an in tank is due to running the Vamos fuel cell with sump. I went with fuel cell due to ease of install during the AWD swap.

@OH91awd - If i knew then what I know now I would have gone a different pump, but again I received a killer deal on the pump and I am going to make her work.

Looks like a -8 return is going to work and will be enough, thanks for all of the input everyone.

cant go wrong with that then. overkill with fuel system isnt really a bad thing either.
