Hey everyone, i was just wondering if anyone knows anything about Ecmlink releasing a v4. Last i heard they mentioned something about it back when the whole wrong chip issue was going on a couple years ago. Kinda remember them saying it could possibly be close to releasing in early 2020, maybe I’m wrong? If anyone knows anything it would be much appreciated

I thought Tom had said that we were at the limits of the stock ECU memory and speed and a future version would basically be a standalone system?

Back when my Talon was going through coils every few weeks, I asked if they had any intention of supporting adjustable dwell so that we could use different coils and they said they would never add support for that in ECMLink. That was the only additional feature that I ever wanted aside from full 5v analog wideband support which I doubt is ever coming.

I wish there was also adjustable dwell time. Having more inputs to log to and more ability for ecu to pull power if a logged value does something out of the normal. I have considered going to a full standalone for some of these features.

I am pretty sure V4 is not happening simply because we are at the point where we have stretched the factory ECM to it's limits.

Our cars will be in a museum by time we get V4... Also seems I was one of the last few to get my conversion done! Wooh!

Now I just need Washington to allow English Racing to open so I can finally finish this project- er well "finish" is a strong word

You all just gotta get on AEM infinity... LOL I love ecmlink and planned to use it in my evo until I realized ecmlink didn’t support VVC and doesnt work with a 9 harness LOL

however after using infinity for a few months now..... hands down million times better, inputs, hardware, software layout, closed loop boost, knock control, engine protection based on fuel psi, AFR, knock, oil psi, integrated Wideband controller.., it’s just all way better. The resolution and data capture alone is worth it

everything people wish ecmlink had AEM infinity has and more

Ecmlink doesnt seem to be interested in innovating but could be hardware restrictions.. With whats out now, v3 is looking pretty long in the teeth, works great as is, and I know people hbe made tons of power and even gone 7’s on it but if you guys wanting stand alone functionality and data go stand alone... or be happy with whats currently available and that they are still even in business:idontknow:
