I wanna keep this AS short AS POSSIBLE haha but give as much info to you guys reading it to further help me out, so here it goes.

So last year in September I had issues with crank (cranks like any normal time, not slow like a dead battery) but no start. So I came on here and read a few forums. The main one with the crank no start diagnosis.

I replaced fuel pump and filter, plugs and wires, thermostat, alternator, and some more parts. All those I replaced mainly to replace and some I replaced thinking it was the issue. I checked relays and fuses back in September, checked for spark in all four cylinders, checked timing (did valve seal job last early May), checked cold compression due to not running and all four cylinders were within a couple psi apart. Tested a few sensors. Finally figured it was cam sensor. Replaced with a O'Reillys part which lasted a few days. Replaced with warranty and that sensor lasted until now (unless this time it isn’t cam sensor). Brand new alternator in it now. Brand new battery. Brand new OEM cam sensor. All three of these replaced this week. Still can’t get it to start.

Checked ECU, pictures posted because I’m not familiar on how to tell if it’s bad besides a capacitor leaking. Now I doubt compression or timing would be issue due to I use to drive it only a couple times a week. I wanna say it’s either, maybe my O'Riellys cam sensor went bad and fouled my plugs. Ordered new plugs waiting on them. And maybe that’s why. But doubt it.

What else could cause it to crank but not start. I’ve read many of forums and like I said back in September tested almost everything you can think of. And everything checked out good. I doubt anything would of went bad that I checked. What other sensors or things could it cause to crank and not turn over. Not throwing any codes. I’m stumped!!!

Go out and verify you are getting fuel and spark.

Fuel- You can simply spray some starting fluid in the throttle body and see if it tries to start while cranking.

spark- just use an extra spark plug and plug it in to one of the spark plug wires and set it next to a bolt and see if you can see the arch while cranking.

also verify your timing using the factory marks then report back.

Just to add to this... I've used plenty of starting fluid over the years. Be careful with how you use it. Spray it into the the BOV vacuum port on the intake manifold. This bypasses the throttle plate and allows the fluid to stay in the intake without leaking out. Then simply try starting the car. DO NOT under any circumstances, spray it in while you are cranking the engine (such as having a 2nd person spray while you crank). This can lead to back fires severe enough to start an engine fire or have a small explosion. I've personally done both. I blew a Subaru's intake plenum apart doing this. We all learn in different ways, and accidents happen. Just be mindful when using the fluid. And don't use too much. Don't flood your engine in it.
